Yes! Right-click (on a PC) on the song and select "Get Info". Then click the "Artwork" tab and click the "Add" button. Now find your own album artwork and click OK.

I don't think there is a way to do this. You see, the iTunes library isn't your actual music and other media location. Each file in the iTunes libray is actually linked to your actual files in your normal folders, such as Music. I have looked all around the iTunes Preferences, and looked in the Help files and nothing points to being able to do this.

I know you can do this in your Music folder and have them show up as such in WMP, but I just don't see it happening in iTunes. Especially when album artwork is automatically downloaded when missing.

I suppose you could attempt to do so by disabling the automatic album artwork updating preference, but, then where would the album art be stored? You would need to locate that area of your hard drive and see if you can apply photos there. Perhaps if you disabled as suggested above, and then went into the Music folder and see if changing the folder photo there will stick in iTunes too. It is worthwhile to attempt it anyway.

Good luck and much success with your iTunes library.
