Courageous - yes. Charismatic - yes. Evil? yes also, a very corrupt and evil woman who stole Pakistanis money and built herself palaces in Dubai and Europe, it was all about money and she is not a martyr.

Brilliant but naive not totally aware of her surroundings or she wanted to be a martyr for her country. Pakistanis believe in the afterlife more than they believe in life here on earth. We as as Americans treasure life for what it is, yet we send our brave young men and women to fight for what? Not our freedom as we understand it but for the freedom of people who don't care about freedom. What a nightmare--trying to save people who want to push their own belief's down each others throats. They can't even get along with each other. It certainly is a strange world we live in but people like Benazir Bhutto feel they owe it to the world to be remembered for believing in their struggle for the people--Death is a reward to her--being thought of in history as a savior for her people was a priority. God bless this very brave martyr.

As a woman i take the loss differently from a man. She did things in a man's world. She studied and fought like a man in politics. She deserves respect. It is a loss in so many ways. But especially her children and husband.

She was a politician, and no one is as pure as they are portrayed by their supporters. But as a symbol, B. Bhutto is powerful and a force to be reckoned with. It is only a matter of time until the West (in its broadest, cultural sense) must face the anti-mind, anti-life, and anti-human beast that is islam, and defeat it.

I am so in agreement with you. That was so sad. It also scares me as to what affect that will now have on the rest of the world. What a terrible loss for all of us.
