Wh don't Christians claim every invention to be invented in the west to be a Christian invention like Muslims

claim every invention to come from Arabic lands to be an Islamic invention? despite the fact that many of these inventions pre-date Islam like mathematics

The fact is some inventions did come from the Islamic world.... But not all..... One example is spectacles. During Europes middle ages it was Islamic scholars that rescued ( by copying) the ancient texts ....... That is why we still know so much about Rome and the Greeks..........The Library of Baghdad was second only to the Alexandria library...... An arrogant Caliph however irritated Kenghis Khan by cutting the heads of a diplomatic team Khengis sent in........... to negotiate trade and peaceful passage.......... The resultant temper tantrum saw the Library destroyed!!!
Human knowledge has come from a wide variety of sources and through many different hands........... There are Christian idiots who claim intellectual superiority like there are Islamic Idiots claiming Intellectual superiority. Arrogance and conceit does not reside in one particular group of people but in all people!!!

Thanks for that! I am an Assyrian, we are the Indiginous people of Iraq (Mesopotamia), we are direct descendants of the Ancient Assyrians and Babylonians (and we absorbed the Sumerians) on one hand, and the Arameans on the other.

You are right, the Wheel, Writing, Mathematics, Astronomy, Astrology, Batteries, Coinage, Schools, The Zoo, Libraries, Civil Service, Iron Weapons, First Legal Codes, Medical Texts, advanced farming and trade methods etc ALL came from Mesopotamia.

But, all happened long before the Arabs arrived. The Arabs and their islamic religion didnt arrive in what is now Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria (also Turkey and Iran) until 7th century AD, thats almost 4000 years after writing was invented in 3300BC.

The ancient near eastern peoples were converted to christianity, and remain christian, the Assyrians of Iraq still speak Aramaic, as do some Chaldeans.

Basically the people responsible for the birth of civilisation are the Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syriacs, Egyptian Copts, Lebanese Maronites, Mandeans etc, all now beleaguered persecuted minorities in their own lands....its their achievements, NOT the Arabs/Muslims.

The inventions were done despite Christianity not because of Christianity.

Thats because Christianity restricted inventions in the world. This is why science destroyed Christianity and many left that religion because it didn't have the truth.

Algebra is an Arabic word which means to compel, Jabr.
The zero was invented by the Muslims and the whole numbering system is another legacy of Islam. Can the west survive if they use the roman numeral system again? Impossible. Your computer uses algebra, would you be without your computer?

And here I thought it was ancient cultures like the Egyptians, or the Greeks...
In the long ago, the ancient Arabians were nomadic sheep-herders, just like the ancient Israelites....
Wasn't it the Romans who gave us roads and brought water into our houses??
Arabians did breed some beautiful horses...

Of course, Islam had nothing to do with any of this. There wasn't any such thing as Islam that long ago...Islam is some 400 years younger than Christianity.

mathematics is an interesting history though.

We do however have the greeks to thank for the most modern concepts which we use today.
