Good point. If god is real that must be why this place is a living hell hole.

No, actually it doesn't. It proves his way is right. How?

It was the original two people who were perfect and created in God's image. But an offer of self government and Godship from a disobedient angel caused them to want to know good and evil for themselves. Genesis 3:4, 5

Man has tried every form of government. The Jews in Samuel's day rejected heavenly rulership in favor of "kings" as the nations had. You see what they became.

Christendom now tends to no longer teach that the kingdom of the heavens is a real invisible heavenly government (Isaiah 9:6, Matt. 6:10), but only a heart condition or else a human government....so like the Jews/Israelites before them, they demand the government of the day which since Plato's Republic and Greece has been some form or other of democracy.

Jews, Christians and others ruling themselves has brought about a condition where humans are "destroying the earth" and needing to be removed as tenants. Rev. 11:15, 18. It has truly proved that it does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step. Jeremiah 10:23

It proves the need for God's kingdom to crush and put and end to human kingdoms.
Daniel 2:44, Micah 4:1-5.

Best wishes,
Debbie

I don't know if I would say that scares me. I do see your point however. that is due to sin however and not due to our being created in His image. Or should I say, that is my take on it. God created us in His image before the fall ever happened, then the fall happened and that image was tainted by the sin.

I guess I would equate it to looking at your perfect reflection in a mirror and then looking in the same mirror after it had been cracked. It has traces of the original but it has lost its clarity and perfection.

that is just my take I suppose.

its even scary to contemplate that God created Eve in the image of God to, both male and female created HE them...

are there gods out there that are female?
if so, why does it say in isaiah that there is only one God?
then again why does it say there is only one saviour, when the book of obadiah says there are many saviours on mt sion.?

i think this verse does not scare me, so much anymore, but it holds a lot of mysteries about the godhead in a grain of sand. Adam was made in the image of God and in the "form" of God. therefore God has form and image, which means Adam saw God and God is not invisible. nor is he only a "spirit" in form and image

No.

He created them out of his "image." Image is not specific. He refers to physical appearance, that of Christ. He refers to characteristics and qualities as well, such as creativity and intelligence. Man is only the way he is because he has fallen after eating from the tree of knowledge. God cannot fall, because that defies the idea of God.

I'm afraid, however, as I am not God, nor have I knowingly met him face to face, that I cannot tell you what God is like.

I'm still nervous that being as we are created in his image, god may be someone with a killer ladies body but a beard you could lose a badger in. Now that is scary.

well your being way to literal in my opinion. God created us in his image and we all have the potential to reach the levels of godliness inside of each and every one of us. However when god gave man FREE WILL this left this journey of finding and becoming more like him up to each individual. If GOD was to intercede at every moment FREE WILL was being used to cause harm it would no longer be FREE WILL would it? There are plenty of AMAZING humans roaming this Earth today, and I think he would be proud of them. God is unchanging it is a human choice to become more or less like him on a daily, shoot minute by minute basis.

God didn't make us like we are, we did this on our own. Poor God, imagine what he must be thinking by what we have become. I also don't believe anyone would be scared of this because a true believer of anything believes from his heart and nothing can change that or scare that.

Physically we were created in God's image. He is the father of our spirits also. That said, we were borne to this earth with the freedom of choice. We could choose to do good and return to him, or we could choose bad and find ourselves unworthy to return home. So when we are good and justified we reflect his brightness and the image we were borne with and are capible of inheriting. When we do bad we only reflect the evil that is of men and satin, definitely not of our devine heritage. If you believe and have faith, you shall not fear.

I love the "Mankind was perfect before the fall" statements.

Why would a perfect creation choose death and disease?

Eve's choice to eat the apple was a mistake, so is God capable of mistakes, if we were created in his image?

Philosophically, the bible doesn't make sense, and you have to ignore the problems there to maintain faith.

you need to read the book of JOHN..actually all of the book of JOHN 1,2, 3 near back of book.
for John is the apostle that is titled the one whom the lord LOVED.

GOD is LOVe..when you love..that is the nature of GOD love right there..when you love your parent, good friends and family..ect..
agape love is not temporally or moody or sexual.
it is a love thicker than blood
and His Son bled for your liberty to enter heaven..by BELIEF that JESUS is the son of God.
GOD made man..like himself.
yet GOD isn't bound to the earth (dust of the earth) like we are.
GOD is a SPIRIT of LIGHT, LOVE TRUTH
and so are we..were once upon a time..just like that.
Adam "WAS" god of the earth.
satna now is.using dead spirit of man to pervert, exploit sin or lust or greed or hatred toward God's chosen people jews, and christians.
whoever love the jews..GOD loves them
whoever love christians GOD loves them.
and if christians and jews LOVE
GOd..they would honor HIM much higher too..than they do now.
2008 is will a different year than any other year.
