Can anyone tell me what kinds of jobs are available out there for someone interested in humanitarian services and jobs that involve preservation of the environment? What type of schooling would you recommend to someone considering this type of career?

Humanitarian agencies and environmental organizations require accountants, IT support staff, mechanics, doctors, legal staff, public relations professionals, nutritionists, photographers, journalists, sanitation engineers, logistic experts, pilots, and just about anything else needed in the business world.

If you want to work abroad in aid, relief or development, you will need to be able to work in at least one other language in addition to English. Don't wait to get started on acquiring this!

You also will need to have an area of expertise, either skills and experience that are lacking in a particular region, or, skills and experience that you can train local people to undertake eventually.
