These are situations that your potential employer wants YOUR input about, not ours. How you'd deal with something might be completely different than my way.

They are looking to see of you are a leader or a follower. Simply look at past career or school situations to remember events where you acted to change a process or the outcome of an event. For instance you could say, 'I noticed that a process taking x amount of time could be reduced by applying y etc' Be careful you don't come across as a know all. You are lookig to impress the boss, not scare the willies of them that you may be after their job.

Dealing with difficult customers is to show that you supported a company policy but only those where the customer left happy or you negotiated a situation where everyone got something and everyone was reasonably happy with the outcome. Don't mention anything that involved giving the customer a good kicking when they demanded a refund.

I among others but at the time unknown to me suggested a facility for certain small boats which were using an area. it was turned down on the grounds that it was too much trouble. 2 years later another company did what had been suggested and made a lot of money on it. I heard recently that a fellow member of staff at about the same time made the same suggestion in strong terms and was threatened with disciplinary action and tapped on the shoulder when severance (voluntary redundancy) was muted.

Although the Company asked for staff suggestions it very rarely accepted them and when it did it was all to oftren at the expence of the suggester, or insufficient investment was placed in it so that it was doomed to failure
