I've meet my boyfriend online, it was a suprise because I wasn't looking but it just came out like that.

Did you meet your girlfriend/boyfriend/partner/spouse online? If so, how did it happen? Or did you know anyone who has?
Did it work out?

I met my ex online. Randomly stumbled across him when I was looking for people to talk to that went to the college I was going to. He was the first name that came up. It worked out for about 4 years. We're still in touch with eachother

I used to think that online dating was tacky and weird. But on a whim one night after I'd been divorced a year, I checked out Yahoo personals. Made a lot of connections, some were losers, some were really great, and one turned out to be my husband. I put my Dad on Yahoo personals earlier this year too when he was in a slump and he met a lady he's been with since February.

These days, there is nothing wrong with it and I love telling people of how I met my hubby.

The same thing happen to me. While I had a profile on Match.com, I wasn't pursuing or answering any of my winks..
Out of the blue he came into my life and I was not expecting it.
So far, things have been good. We met earlier in the year.
It's hard to say what the future holds, however he does want to get married.
All I can say is there are a ton of wacks on the internet, but also a ton of good people too. But, you have to be smart and watch out for the liars and the married ones looking for a piece.

i met my boyfriend online. I had seen him once before and we had one mutual friend, but i started talking to him online, never in person. And then later on he became my boyfriedn and we dated for 4 years. It really worked out for a while, online works well because you talk about things more openly than you would in person and the entire point of Instant Messaging is to keep a conversation going and interesting.... so it's a great way to start a relationship!

I did as a matter of fact. I was new to the town so I started a new Myspace. I started talking to him online then when I told him where I worked he asked I knew someone there. I did and she was his ex. They parted on good terms so I asked her about him. She said that he was a really nice guy and that I should meet him. I did and ever since that night we spend almost all our time together. I am happier than I have ever been.

Yes...I met my boyfriend on Yahoo matter of fact. I was bored and went into a chat room. I was so annoyed at some guy trying to talk to me. But, I went ahead and talked to him. He was funny and sweet. It took me about 2-3 months before I would even give him my number and then it took another month or so to actually agree to meet him in person. We went on our first date and it has been great ever since. We have been together almost 3 years. Talking about marriage at this point. I love him with all my heart...

I think the riskiest part is the first meeting and making sure the guy isn't super weird or wants to kill you. If you've made it past that step than it's probably just like any other relationship and you can't really judge based on how other online relationships go. Look at how committed you each are and how right you seem to each other.

Yes, I met my partner on line. We got to talk for a long time before we actually met. The good thing is that we got to know each other first, instead of jumping into bed on the first date. Now we have been together three years, and sleep together every night.
