I was diagnosed with gingivitis today, and I have gotten very serious about my teeth... I bought some alcohol free crest pro-health, 3 things of wax, and a new Colgate 360 toothbrush.

If I floss/brush/gargle twice daily, how long until I am "healed" of my gingivitis? Could I do anything more to help it along?

Let me get this straight . . . you went to the dentist, got religious about it, and are asking US about it??? Why didn't you simply ask the dentist when you were there??? What's stopping you from doing so now???

Regardless, here are a few links.
Knock yourself out! (not in the teeth, though!) ;)

Gingivitis doesn't start in one day and it won't go away in one day.
There are many things to do to "cure" your gingivitis and I'll list them in the most logical order.
1. You must go to see your dentist for routine cleanings and checkups at the very least every six months. No excuses!
2. Brush and floss twice a day. Electric toothbrushes are very helpful in the treatment of gingivitis. I recommend the Oral B Triumph. It has a new technology to help you learn how to brush your teeth properly.
3. If an area is bleeding, don't stay away from it. It just means that you need more stimulation in that area. Don't scrub harder... brush longer.
4. Warm salt water rinses.

Gingivitis is a warning sign that you've not been doing your home care well enough... now you know.

Well dont forget to floss!! Well you did not mention if you were treated already?? If so then you will be healed almost immediately the most a couple of weeks. If not then it wont go away, infact it will get worse so please get it treated if you haven't already.
