Halogen heaters emit infrared radiation, and electromagnetic energy in amounts similar to a CRT television. Infrared radiation is heat you encounter naturally, every day of your life - it does not cause cancer. There are some people who believe that CRT TVs cause cancer, but most medical experts do not believe this is true. So, the cancer risks of a halogen heater are similar to the risk from watching TV.

The link in the preceding answer describes a rash that can be caused by infrared radiation, but the rash is a normal reaction to excessive heat and has nothing to do with cancer. The article at the link describes a person who put an infrared heater 15 inches from her leg and keep it there for 35 hours while it burnt her. You would have to be a moron to experience this type of injury unless you don't have any nerve sensations in your leg.

Yes, it is a little known fact that heat from heaters can cause cancer. The only reason I know is that I have this skin condition from working in a foundry. Most doctors don't even know. Repeated heat exposure can cause permanent redness(erythema), thinness of skin (skin atrophy), skin lesions and in worse case scenarios skin cancer years later.

Typically, skin conditions such as eczema have to do with poor dieting. Learn here https://tr.im/rJAo3
Eczema food triggers such as eggs, fish, peanuts, and soy are known to help reduce flare-ups, but this can vary from person to person. These foods may also exacerbate eczema because many people cannot properly digest the proteins, which causes an allergic reaction.
