What does it mean when a guy is sitting and talking to you, and he has his hand on the side of the face. Is that good or bad meaning interested or not?

Well...He is interested in you. I would also say that he is thinking in a plotting sort of way but......beware of falling into the trap of trying to read an individual gesture (stand alone) for example...a photograph...you can guess but you need more information to be sure.

Is he leaning toward you? Any sign of a person getting closer to you in any way (leaning toward you, sitting closer to you, having their hand next to yours, picking up a piece of lint off your shoulder) is a positive sign...that they want to be near you.

If he has his hand on his face, that could mean that he is comfortable with you and doesn't need to sit up straight and formal. It could also mean that he was bored, especially if he was getting closer and closer to the door (his feet were pointing to the door, he was sitting nearer to the exit) or if he was looking at his watch/staring off in other directions. However if he was engaged in a conversation with you and his eyes were locked with yours that means he was interested, probably in you if not in the conversation itself.

Is he touching his face with his hand, like caressing, or is he resting his head on his hands.

In the first case, he is interested, in the second case, he is bored!

Could be either he's really interested, or really bored. Depends on his facial expression, if he looks like he's into what you're talking about.
