I have to teen sister's who are US citizen. My mother is in the final steps to becoming a US citizen. My question is, if my mother applies for medical for my sister's and herself, will it effect her status?

Your mother will have to fill out a lot of forms to get medical benefits. If it is private health insurance then I don't see how it would cause a problem. If you are talking about medical benefits as a part of the welfare system then you should know the records are open to other agencies. If anyone is in this country illegally or if your mother gives false information then it might cause her trouble in the citizenship process.

First if your mom is a green card holder, she is more than OK to apply for any kind of insurance. If your sister is underage, she is OK. if she is over 21 and still a full time student in college, that is good. She would be covered as a dependent. If she is married, no coverage under your mom's insurance of any kind. Health or even car's insurance.
