Proverbs 21:2
2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
2 Timothy 4:1-4
1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
This doesn't just refer to the Atheist but to the so-called believer as well. They won't deal with what's written so they find someone who will tell them what they want to hear or that which will validate what they imagine in their heart.
Colossians 2:8
8See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

They all have to pretend to be wise and intelligent because they all know that they will be able to cure all sickness and create the elixir of life before death and old age gets them. Seems completely inexplicable why none have succeeded yet....
All the humble (and yet really wise [Luke 10:21]) people put their trust in their creator [John 17:3] and his ability to restore these desired conditions back to the earth in the near future.

Most of them are. Nearly all of the atheists I've interacted with here at R&S, I would consider to be "wise and intelligent". Of course, that doesn't mean that I agree with their beliefs about God. :-)

Do you know of any human who doesn't consider themselves to be intelligent? It's odd. We all know there are stupid people, but have you ever met someone who acknowledged that they were one?
