----Those of you that are telling me to go to a shelter: I refuse to do so because the last kitten I got from one was sick and they didn't tell me. It died less than a week from the time that I adopted it.

I'm just going to breed it because I have a plan with what I'm going to do with the kittens. I plan to keep 2, and I have several friends who want one when they're born.

Go to a shelter, there are plenty LOVELY cats there that need a home!!!!!!! Why support breeding when so many cats are being put to sleep. There are still tons of shelters that AREN'T no kill shelters, try to go to one of those and save a life. Its terrible how at the shelter in my town that is a kill shelter even if kittens are healthy they will still put them down if they are there more than two weeks. One case there was some young kittens that only needed about another week before they could be adpoted because of there young age but they were scheduled to be put down, since it was going to take another week and they already were reaching the two week point. ITS SICK!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE ADOPT!!!!!!!!!!!

(EDIT: You can also get a kitten that is sick from a breeder and they won't tell you either, at least if you get it from a shelter you will be saving a kitten from put to sleep.)

I agree with everyone. Defiantly go to a shelter and adopt. There are millions of cats and kittens, purebred and mixed alike, that are euthanized only because they are adopted. Not to mention the millions of homeless animals starving and freezing. Adoption is a very good way to go!

I have to agree on goin to a shelter. Shelters are full of cats and kittens all colours and even a few pure breds from time to time. Many of them are on a very short timeline to find a home or lose their life.

Go to a shelter. If you think you must have a purebred cat, look for a purebred cat rescue. There are too many cats dying in shelters for lack of good homes.

Who gets the kittens when they turn into cats? Remember a kitten is a 20 year committment.

I got mine at a shelter. He's a siamese-snowshoe mix. I think he looks better than purebred siamese or purebred snowshoe. He's a good combination of both.
