That is the first sentence in Rick Warren's book "The Purpose-Driven Life".
Where do you stand? Is life about you?

Soleil - just wanted your opinion on a question - that doesn't remotely infer your life should be about you... but I got my answer.

Like one song puts it, "It's not about me, Lord, it's gotta be about You" ...

God made all things for His glory. It can't really be about me or you because me and you didn't exist 100 years ago, and we won't exist here on earth in another 100 years from now. God is the ONLY One who has ALWAYS existed and always WILL exist. How can it be about someone who (in the grand scheme of things) doesn't really exist other than a blink of an eye?

It depends upon what "It" is. Your life should be mostly about you, but you should never expect anyone else to live their life all about you.

I think people shouldn't take things so dang peronsally all the time, and in that sense I agree.

Life in general is not, but each person's life is of course, all about them.

I like him a lot. That book is great!

And nope, it really is not about us at all! When we realize that God will receive so much more of the praise that he is due.

No, life is not about me.

I sacrificed that right when i decided i would protect it.

Why should my life be about me, after all?

My life is about me, but it's also about others.

No it isn't. Unfortunately, society has this "what's in it for me" kind of attitude toward Christianity.

Obviously.

See how you wrote this question, specifically to get MY opinion?
