where can i get black henna powder in chennai?can i mix henna powder with herbal hair dye(brown henna with black dye) for colour effects,will it work for my hair and is this way right?Or else can i mix black henna herbal powder with brown henna herbal powder and colour my hair.pls explain.

You Want To Be VERY CAREFUL When Mixing Different Types Of Dye. Henna Can React Badly With Some Chemicals Even 'Food Grade' Dyes And Produce 'Weird' Colors (Olive Green/Brownish Purple/Grayish Blue) Just Because It's 'Natural' Doesn't Mean The Color Will Be.

'Black' Henna Is Actually NOT Henna It Is A 'Mixture' Of Red(Leaves) Or Neutral (Stems,Stalks & Roots) Henna And Other Dye Stuffs (Indigo, Coneflower, Woad Or Butternut) And Sometimes Aniline Dyes And Metal Salt Compounds.These 'Mixtures' Can Produce Undesirable Effects On Hair As They Fade And Especially If You Bleach, Tint Or Permanent Wave After

Henna only comes in brown and is never black.
To be safe use only natural henna, so there will be chemical reaction to whatever else you choose to use.
Mixing real henna and chemical dye is not really a good idea..
