True. But you must watch yourself. All religions, or lack thereof, have a right to be in schools. While I am Christian, I believe that a move towards religious openness is good. You are free to think your way. As am I. Which you said, and I support. But if you are truly atheist, then you will not be tempted by the other things when they are submitted to you. So why worry about it being taught, as long as all religions in the school are taught? And Bush is a religious dictator, but it could be worse. Imagine Jesse Jackson (or is it Al Sharpton who was a reverend?) Anyway, thank you for this opportunity!

Is it also so hard to understand that Atheists don't believe in any deity and therefore don't also worship anything?
Worship is for religion. Atheists don't have any religion so why would they worship?

Atheists worship matter? Uh, I think the idea is you become Atheist and don't worship anyone or anything. Sounds kind of oxymoronic to me.

No.
I don't worship matter, I recognize the physical traits that we have observed about it.
You are projecting.
You require a being to worship, because it gives you meaning and purpose in life. I don't, but you cannot understand that, so you assume I must put my hope and 'worship' in matter, because it has always existed.
Think of it this way. You believe in nothingness. You believe that an being created everything from nothing.
We have no evidence at all pointing to the existence of 'nothing'. Matter changes, but never ceases to exist. So your belief that at some point in time there had to be nothing, requires a test to prove it. As soon as you can turn matter into nothing at all, I might be able to consider your contention of a creator, but until then, we have no reason to believe that a creator is necessary.

Atheists, such as myself, do not worship anything.
Believing in a fairytale is an impossibly big step for a logical mind.
The Universe is Ours.

I do not intend to offend you, but you are obviously a fool. Atheists do not worship matter. We do not worship anything. That would be sheer stupidity.

I'd believe you if you said that atheist study matter unless you have a different and unique interpretation of "worship"

I don't worship anything at all. If I did, then at least matter can be proven to exist.
