God is holy. Sin cannot exist in His presence. The only thing you can do after death - if you have sinned - is go to hell, where God is not. If you ask God to forgive your sins through Jesus, the only acceptable sacrifice, you can have the sins covered or wiped away by Christ. Think of it this way: If a court fined you $10 million and you couldn't pay, you'd go to jail until you could pay it. But what if someone else paid it for you? You'd go free, regardless of who paid the fine, right? Well, it's the same with Jesus. He paid the fine, even thought He never sinned.

In the O.T. the sacrifice of animals was needed to cleanse sins, but animals were not perfect, as a result the sacrifices had to be made over and over- because no sin can be forgiven without the shedding of blood( this is one way in which God shows us just how horrible sin is to Him.
When Jesus' blood was shed on the cross, He was the only perfect and last sacrifice needed.
You only go to hell in you aren't under the blood of Christ.

the bible doesn't say if you sin you go to hell.... it says that we ALL sin, and we must repent and ask for God's forgiveness, and accept Jesus Christ as our lord and savior. I am a Christian, but I still sin sometimes, we all do. Jesus died for our sins, but we have to accept His gift to be saved.

Jesus died to save us from original sin so Jesus died so that when we are born we are baptized and our original sin is washed away but that doesnt mean we can go around and do whatever we want and it not be a sin

It's true, only one sin can keep you out of Heaven. The Bible says that "the wages of sin is death". The good news is that Christ paid that death penalty for us, so that we may freely enter Heaven, if we accept His sacrifice on our behalf. He was treated as we deserve so that we may be treated as He deserves. Christ is our "Get Out of Hell Free" card! Those who choose not to accept this free gift, and go their own way, will unfortunately have to pay the death penalty for their own sins, themselves. This does not mean eternal torture, but permanent destruction. Everyone suffers the first death (with the exception of those who will still be alive when Christ returns), but those who are saved only die once, and then they are resurrected, making the first death of no consequence. Those who are lost will have to die twice, and the second death is permanent. They will cease to exist from then on. To believe that the Lost are tortured for all eternity is to believe that sin is stronger than God! No, He will return and destroy once and for all, all trace of sin and sinners. Only then will there be peace.

An appropriate answer to this question would go on for 1000's of pages.. but I will try to answer breifly.

All of mankind is dead in our sins. There is not one of us who can live up to even the 10 commandments, nevermind all those Jewish traditions.

Man is to die. (The wages of sin is death).

Then comes judgement. If we do not measure up to God's perfection, (we are found with hate, lust, we have lied, etc) the only thing He can do being a Just God is to sentence us to hell.

Jesus was the perfect, sinless, Son of God.

God so loved us that he sent his own son to die, so that we could truely live. Not only in this life, but eternal life in heaven. It is a testiment to God Almighty's amazing Grace.

Jesus took on the sins of mankind, and was the ultimate sacrifice even though He is without sin. Through Christ, we are washed of our sin. He makes us "white as snow".

We are not saved through our own works or traditions, but through the grace of God alone through Christ.

God Bless You.

Jesus told the Jews: "If you don't believe I am the One I claim to be you will surely die in your sins".

The Jews did not believe Jesus is the Messiah.

If you don't believe that the blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins is your ticket into heaven, then you will go to hell.

Heaven is a place without sin...God can't allow sin to enter his kingdom because that sin would alter it, making it less than perfect (kind of like adding a drop of black turns white into a shade of gray). Jesus died to give us the opportunity to wipe out all of our sins so we could exist in that perfect place. He gave us a way to extract all that black in ourselves and leave it behind so the white can enter God's kingdom.

the cost of Sin is Death eternally in hell. If we claim the blood of Jesus, we are forgiven for our sins. we just have to repent of our old ways.

Let me put it this way:

If we receive what Jesus has done for us and live obedient lives (showing we have truly turned from sin), then we will get Heaven.

If we reject Jesus and what he has done for us OR if we "accept" Jesus but live sinful lifestyles or live in sin (Showing we haev NOT truly repented), then we will NOT go to Heaven....Unless true repentance is done.
