No? Then why judge Islam by jihadists and those that hurt and kill? Why assume that those who preach hate in Christianity are the whackos, but those who preach hate in Islam MUST be the accurate representations of their religion?

I think many of you are choosing to miss the point.

You're right.

And let me point out something else: in both Islam and Christianity the trouble again and again is caused by certain "fundamentalist" elements.

Coincidence? Probably not.

In both instances certain groups who have essentially found the core message of their religion (Christianity or Islam) to be too hard to follow: that it requires too much thought, or too much humility, or too much patience. So they replace it with a thoughtless, arrogant, judgmental system that they claim brings back some lost "fundamentals".

All they really do is to circumvent the hard introspection and humility Jesus required from us to love all His peoples with an easier kind of path that requires no real sacrifices of ego and self.

You have a point there.

I wouldn't judge Christians by Westboro, but I am tempted sometimes to judge them by some of the loud-mouthed Dominionist Evangelicals that are trying to turn their religious beliefs into law. They are the Christian counterpart to the extreme Islamists--and if they had more power in the USA I'd imagine they would do just as much damage.

They are a minority, I'm sure, but a very loud one.

But your point still stands--we shouldn't judge all followers of a religion by a few loud fanatics.

Of course not. Media always loves the most extreme, because it tells a simple story. As well, our attention span is short. We do not welcome a complex story. To understand the distinction between Shiah and Sunni goes beyond the capacity of quite a few members of Congress. Let alone that each group has a larger moderate group and a smaller extremist group.

Then again, quite a few years ago, the Chicago Sun-Times polled people, and the majority believed that pro wrestling is real. The newspaper concluded that some of them must be registered voters.

No I wouldn't. But I would go to returnofthenephilim.com to see whatis going on in this world and also illuminati-news.com. All a facade portraying a group as bad...eg. jews in nazi germany. there will be a party which is the scapegoat, just in these times it is 'muslims/islamists' who r the 'terrorists'. as a result there is now a police state, government is a superpower, and cctv and more plice. all 'for yoursecurity'. eva wonder why the news (on all channels) is such a biased one sided description of events. It's following an agenda. see who owns what, like the alledgedly independent channels are all owned by the same parent comapany. get on it. signs of the times....

The media shows them with the aid of fact the hateful team of folk they're. Radical Islam is cheered of their homestead international places, the media does no longer communicate approximately how hateful they're and for the main section, and in case you ask many Muslims they say issues like, "i will comprehend why the Muslims do the failings they do, it with the aid of fact *they* (meaning all and sundry else) try this." no count number if or no longer they're precise or no longer, they're tolerated, and cheered on.

Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie.

The Abrahamic religions are rooted in hate and deception.

The religion of Islam is peaceful, but I believe that you follow a false prophet. The Bible tells us that many false prophets have gone out into the world.
