i don't know where to start. i heard you can get into social groups and gradually increase social contacts and all of these promising things but i dont even know where to start. where to find this help. so....................where?

You could try a support group, in person or online. You could try seeing a therapist, or you could do both. You could read books and look at websites about your illness and see what works for other people.

You've made a great start, just by wanting help!!! Good for you!!! Do you have a university in your area? They might be able to tell you of groups in your area. If not, are you seeing someone? Find a therapist, they should be able to point you in the right direction. Best of luck to you. :)

the internet because everything is annonymous until you're really ready!! there are online chatting that can help you with this and if you google it you may get information on things in your area, places in your area you can, and things you can do to help yourself become more social. You may also want to talk to your doctor and confide in one person you can really trust. Good luck, you'll be okay!!

behavioral health systems can help its for people who are out patients... that could be a start.. or go to a therapy site like group therapy and they can help you there.
