Like if I had said "I have trouble with being Narcoleptic in Math class". And someone who has that condition heard but they know I am not a mean guy.

I think its all about context. If you stated This class had an Narcoleptic effect on me. . It Make s sense . . But if you said this class made me narcoleptic and it appears to have "Handicapped" you. I can see why it would be offensive.
-But I joke like that all the time. eg: I make jokes about my friend who only has One eye.. by making "My Eye ! " references. . .

I am not insensitive. .Just know your audience

I think most people with afflictions have a sense of humor about it and if they don't they should because laughing at yourself shows great maturity and the fact that they are accepting life as it is. They certainly don't want pity, of that you can be sure. I have a missing digit and have taken a lot of ribbing about it but know that I'm not going to get it back so I accept it, I don't have to like it, just accept it.
That really was a bad joke you told, polish it up a bit and I think it might be acceptable, then again, I could be wrong.

I make narcolepsy jokes all the time (people will be yawning around me and i'll say "didn't take your narcolepsy meds today, eh?"). I'm not aware that I've ever made a joke about it within earshot of someone who had the disorder, but if so it didn't bug them enough to say anything.

Why is this in Singles & Dating?
As long as it's not mean-spirited or demeaning to people with that condition, I see no issue with it.

That's not too bad. I don't think someone with that condition would be offended.

You're making fun of how boring math class is.

It's not like you're saying, Narcoleptic people are DUMB.

I was going to say, depends on if there's a person with Narcolepsy around and if they are sensitive towards jokes about it. By the way, Math makes me really sleepy too.

Well if your intention is just to make people laugh, then
I think people should understand. Not poor taste.
If however, you target that person intentionally with an insulting or demeaning joke, then that would be bad taste.

Of course not, Humor is a winderful thing, and It's best to use life's hazzards for fun than to wallow in them.
