i just wanted to know why people believe that islam has caused the world so much problems over the last decade.
It was the christian countries that went and 'liberated' (and i use that term very loosely) the muslim countries. Obviously they are not happy about it - Iraq and Afghanistan has been invaded by US, UK. Bosnia happened due to the british presence and at the time - their scheming ways. Palestine/ Israel is a problem the UK has created - Next is Sudan and then Iran. All these countries are muslim coutries which are being attacked. As a non muslim and a non christian, i can clearly see the problems are being caused by our governments here in the west. The problems that happen after are a result of feuding and after war.
So why are people still calling them 'trouble causers' as history has showed us before our very eyes who is doing what and to who.

US, UK invade iraq = chaos, no leadership, hatred, loss of lives, loss of homes, no education in war zones, no medicine, no work, no income, land is destroyed - need i go on

Its not their religion which is dangerous - they are only prtecting their land and possessions - why are people trying to justify an illegal war in iraq?

In the real world, Israel cannot be blamed for:

The murder of Benazir Bhutto by a fellow Muslim,

The Muslim enslavement of black Africans in Mauritania

The mass murder of hundreds of thousands of Arabs in a 13-year Algerian civil war,

The endless brutal oppression of Egyptian Christian Copts in Egypt by Egyptian Muslims,

The genocide of 2,000,000 black African Christians and animists in South Sudan by Sudanese Muslim Arabs over the past 23 years,

The genocide of 800,000 black African Muslims in Western Sudan (aka Darfur) by Sudanese Muslim Arabs over the past 5 years,

The blatant religious apartheid of the Saudi government in Arabia,

The mass murder of Arabian Shiites by the Saudi royal family,

The de facto maintenance of slavery as an economic institution in Arabia,

Saddam Hussein's murder of hundreds of thousands of his own Iraqi citizens during his 32 years of repressive tyrannical rule,

The current Muslim-vs.-Muslim terrorist carnage in Iraq,

The Taliban reign of terror in Afghanistan,

The decades-old civil war between Islamo-fascists and non-Muslims in Nigeria,

Syria's brutal 27-year occupation of Lebanon,

Six decades of Muslim terrorism against the Hindus of Kashmir and Gujarat,

The Muslim repression of Hindus in Bangladesh,

Islamic terrorism in East Asia (Bali, East Timor, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia),

Muslim terrorism against Russia (remember 186 dead children at the school in Beslan?)

The brutal Islamic subjugation of women prevalent in many Muslim countries for the last millennium,

The Muslim persecution of Christians and Jews throughout the Muslim world since the beginning of Islam,

The fact that the religion of peace spawned a thousand-year war against the non-Muslim world (aka Jihad) a thousand years before Israel came in to existence,

The grinding poverty and lack of productivity that typify even the richest of Arab countries, as documented in three recent UN-sponsored studies,

The fact that, while not all Muslims are terrorists, almost all terrorists, for the past 30 years, are Muslims,

The fact that millions of Muslims every year flee their home states, Sharia law, and Islamic sovereignty, to seek refuge, a better life, broader opportunities, freedom and a brighter future for their children . . . in Western states .

Afghanistan was originally screwed up by the Russians. The Taliban are oppressive barbarians. I still think invading Afghanistan was a waste of time and money.

Saddam was a genocidal warmongering maniac that invaded his Muslim neighbour Kuwait, and fought with Iran too (not at our behest). However, the bulk of the UK population were still dead against any military action. Tony Blair lied through his pointy feral teeth to get the troops in there.

Israel is one godawfulfockup, and everyone is to blame on that one. But a large part of the problem is the raging anti-semetism that's drummed into Muslims via the Qu'ran. There is no way they ever accept Jews in Jerusalem, even if they bought every scrap of land fair and square. And so far, the Muslims are the ones breaking the ceasefires every time.

A lot of what you are referring to is pretty ancient history, every nation has misbehaved, and every country with power had a bash at colonialism in the past. The UK's divorce from most of it's formerly conquered countries has been amicable enough for us to still talk, trade and be friendly with each other(the Commonwealth). Do you think anyone Else's ancestors would have behaved any differently if they had been in the same position of power? Many of them would have been much worse. This was an era before human rights was invented, by the British.(Thomas Payne, the Rights of Man).

Non-Muslim, non-Christian misanthrope.

The problem is that Muslims are a largely under-represented religion in our country, and as a result most people don't understand what the religion is all about. Yes, there are some people who are using Islam as an excuse to perpetuate violence, but there are also people using Christianity to do the same. Anyone who has ever studied religion knows that Islam is a religion based on peacefulness that strives to bring all people together, and that the vast majority of Muslims are extremely tolerant of other people and religions. Religious violence is perpetrated by the minority but has received all of the attention, just as the evils of American society have been publicized there.

I want to hear what you have to say when your starring down the barrel of a Muslim held gun, with him telling you to turn to Islam or die. You think Christians are so bad just for talking to you about Jesus, and let you make up your own mind-the Muslims won't give you that luxury. It's been happening in the Sudan=Wake Up!!! If you want to know what they are going to do to us, just check out Africa. Seeing is believing.
There is nothing that happened in these countries that didn't make it better-NOT PERFECT-better.
They also don't recognize Israels' right to exist. The land they have now plus what was robbed from them , was given to them by God, and our nation will pay for agreeing to divide it.
The Lord says,"I will curse those who curse you, and bless those who bless you (referring to the Jewish people). There was never - ever a country that belong to the Palestinians . The old maps were changed to have land called Palestine to stick it to the Jews once again- and they know it-it's just so convenient to use this to get the ignorant on their side .
Read this and weep!!!

Learn about the early days of Islam, study how the founders of that religion acted, and then ask yourself, if anyone today followed their example (which all good Muslims are supposed to do) would you consider them trouble causers?
There are some Muslims that do try to follow Islam as it was when it was founded, these are called fundamentalists and extremists. The nice, peaceful Muslims who do not cause any trouble are actually the ones who do not follow Islam fully.
It certainly seems to be a seriously flawed religion when those who do not follow it properly are are the good, peaceful ones.

Lets see.

1) Afghanistan harbored Bin Laden after 9/11, the US attacked

2) Saddam tried to develop WMD and attacked Kuwait, the US attacked

3) In Bosnia, NATO (including the US, the UK and others) attacked the Serbs for attacking Bosnian Muslims (they actually came to their aid)

4) In Sudan the Muslims are responsible for horrendous wars against the Christian and animist south and now the "Africans" in Darfur, how do you figure Christians are responsible?

5) Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons and has vowed to wipe Isreal off the face of the Earth

So, what where you talking about?

As a Muslim myself, alhamdulilah, mash'Allah I feel blessed to be born in this religion. However, I believe that the problem is based around the presidents and the British Prime Minister who lack communication and understanding between other presidents in the Mid East and other Muslim countries. I think this contributes to the fact that USA may want to start a fight with Iran etc because they want power.
On the other hand, I think that dictators such as Hussain, who was hanged, just wants power and I think that this is all it has to do with. In the qu'ran, it states that Muslims should declare war on those who have had to flee their homes. Why should they emigrate their homes, if they did not start it? If so, war should NOT be encouraged, but sought as a last resort. Innocent muslims and other troops have been killed and all sorts and seeing this makes me sick because they are my muslim brothers and sisters, consider this, please try to see this from my viewpoint. It is not fair that islam is being miscontrued like this!
Does this make sense? My last words are: I am on the good Muslim's side only and may they live in salaam (peace) and victory insh'Allah ameen. Nor do I encourage violence and war, they do not solve anything!

Yes the West is in firm control . Look at Chechnya , over 3 million killed since 1996 and still on going ! No one lifts a finger . The Middle East is still a third world , check out how many sanctions are put on Middle Eastern countries to keep it that way . The infant mortality rate , the standard of living all below Western countries . The fact is Muslims don't want war , they don't want to kill you { despite what the media and talk show hosts claim } . All they want is what you want - Peace , security and to live .

Palestine is another example , Israel kills Palestinians and keeps Palestinians locked down courtesy of the 3 billion a year given by the US . Put yourself in there shoes and ask yourself , what would you do ?

Putting aside all the extra stuff you wrote, it's because everyone needs a scapegoat and the easiest one to choose in 'the West' at the moment is Islam. Likewise, if you go to a predominantly Muslim country, you'll probably find that 'Christians' are being blamed for everything.

Back to 'the West', unfortunately genuine Islam doesn't do itself many favours by remaining silent about atrocities committed in their name, when silence is usually interpreted as agreement.

There are good and bad people on all 'sides' but as long as good people remain silent, evil will thrive :-(

As you seem to realise, wars usually have nothing to do with religion - it's more about power seeking and commodities.

Afganistan first

Imagine America, a modern predominantly Christian country, was taken over by someone who made Jerry Falwell & the like look like raving liberals.

Every female doctor was forced to wear a veal & stay home. Women were shot for leaving the house without a male relative accompnying them.

Would another country be considered "invaders" to get these lunitics out of office & allow our counrty to be free agains?

Your point has more validity when it comes to Iraq. I don't have a bit of sympathy for Saddam & his crew, but that doesn't mean it was the right thing.

I dunno...there is enough blame, I think, to go around.
Perhaps if Muslims would calm down a bit, and not get so excited about such things as cartoons, or pet pigs getting loose near a mosque, or some kids calling a teddy bear after their "prophet", people wouldn't look at them as if they were crazed killers.
Just a thought...
