Someone who stirs up trouble and discord is an agitator. For example, an atheist who ask 2-3 questions every day that are thinly disguised attacks on Christians, or vice versa.

An agitator is that big thing in the middle of the washing machine that makes the clothes go back and forth and gets the dirt out of them.

Don't know that the Christian term definition differs from any other religion's definition.

It's the center piece in the washing machine that moves the clothes around to get them clean.
