There are maunfacturers who make maternity dresses that match regular dresses for this situation, you can look into that.
Or, since she is the maid of honor, she can have a different dress from everyone else and it won't look odd at all.
Tell her congratulations!

First of all, can't you come up with a more mature term than "knocked up"? I would be offended if someone referred to ME that way!
Secondly, why should her maternal condition have any impact on whether or not she's in attendance? If SHE doesn't want to be there, then by all means find a stand-in. However, just about ALL dresses can be altered to accommodate a pregnant figure. Or perhaps she might need to find a different dress design in the same color. Where there's a will there's a way.

Well, don't panic until she is sure, and even then you should wait a little while, sadly, a lot of things can happen in the first couple of months. If you don't have to start with the dresses yet, just wait a little while. If you need to start now, then start looking at some now that will accommodate her condition and won't make all of the other girls look silly. You guys should also really talk about whether she is going to be able to do everything with the stress of being pregnant.

one of my friends ran into this with a bridesmaid. she let her pick out her own (easy to alter since there was no way of knowing how big she would be for the wedding) dress in the same color as the other girls. it worked out well, and since we were all watching the bride . . . but seriously, how long is your ceremony going to be? at 6 or 7 months, she may want a job that requires less standing.

If she's knocked up, ask her to not be a part of the wedding party anymore. However, if she's married and pregnant, have her find something she'll be comfortable in, in the same color as the other BMs.

Have the bridesmaids wear loose clothing that can accomodate the amazing changing human body. Have this particular maid get her gown hemmed soon before the wedding so that it doesn't get too much shorter in front as her belly grows.

Talk to the dress shop... I'm in the same situation. We're just going to order my bridesmaid a larger size than she needs and we're going to order a dress with an empire waist! Hopefully, that will work!

Does she still want to be your MOH? I'd start with that first. If she does, just go with the flow and get the dress altered. Some women at 6-7 mos don't have a big baby belly, so it might not be so obvious.

I had a friend in this situation. She bought two dresses and then had them altered together. It turned out great.
