I can not imagine that anyone thinks what is going on there is a good thing, no matter what religious faith you have. What is the answer? How can peace come to this country? Do you see it as a religious or political problem?

US interference is a big problem. They funded and trained the most extreme elements in the 80s to fight the Russians in Afghanistan. They back military dictators and puppets like Bhutto who work for US interests not Pakistan, The majority of Pakistanis dont support them.

How can a country progress when is political elite works for its own and a foreign country's benefit ?

I would call it political unrest due to religious differences and beliefs. These differences are breeding Islamic extremists, who have no respect for life or women.

The beginning of peace coming to this country will be when politics and religion are separated. Democracy must rule. Peace will come when equality is always apparent and present. Peace will come when the sword is put down and love is taken up faithfully in its place. I see this problem as both political and religious in nature. One fuels the other.

pakistan has been a basket case since independence. it is actually much less violent and much more stable today than it was in the early 1970s.

ghandi was a deeply religious man, but he made sure that he founded a secular country. this is why india has been the third world's greatest success story.

jinna was not a bad man, but the country he founded was organised on religious lines. it never had a chance.

If America will just stay out of this one...it might be ok. Somehow, however,it will blow up in a short while to be far out of proportion...like it always does.
The answer for peace in the area may come in time.

You cannot force peace on anyone. They choose to fight for control over the country and overthrow of the government. The only to stopy tyrrany is war, unfortunately.

As a Christian, I view this in a different way than members of the "AM" do. To me, the answer lies within Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39: eventually, Pakistan will join the Russian/Iranian alliance and attack Israel. God will defend Israel and destroy the invaders -- which will disable radical Islam, giving the Antichrist the room he needs to take over the world. From a Biblical standpoint, it's a rather painful (yet simple) eventuality.
