is it stronger when I first start brewing it, or towards the end? Or is it all the same strength while brewing depending on how many beans I put into it. I also use 2 filters for the tap water here, does this matter?

THANKS

I'm gonna disagree with guido. Sorry Dude- caffeine is one of the most water soluble substances known to man. Most of the caffeine is washed out of the grounds by the time the first 1/2 of the pot is dripped.

Add more ground beans, or beans ground a little finer, to get a stronger flavor.

If you want really strong flavored coffee, get a percolator. Not only will it make (in my opinion) a more robust flavored brew, but it will make that cool burble noise.

That first stuff that comes off we call "the elixir of life!" LOL Just b/c it's so strong, so hot, and so GOOD!

I'd just use one filter. All it does is let the water run thru the coffee and hold the coffee back. A second filter does nothing to remove nasty water flavor. Install a water filter on your sink, or use water from a fridge dispenser than has a filter, or use a filtering water pitcher for your coffee water.

Depends of what you mean for strong.
If you mean caffeine, the more you brew, the more caffeine you get. If you mean aroma and flavor, the best part is the first brewed.
