These tarrot cards represent evil, and they go against the Bible, its called witchcraft. And flipping a penny is not going to get you an answer either. Only Jesus Christ knows the future. And He wants you to put your trust in him. He came to earth and died on a Cross for us, when you see a cross does it remind you of Jesus. It does for a reason, Jesus loves you, He wants you to believe in Him, He wants you to become a Born Again Christian so you can live in Heaven with Him for eternity someday,.Jesus is the only way to Heaven. His death on the Cross paid our sin debt, He was the only perfect Human, and He sacrificed himself for us to wash us clean of sin. Are you willing to confess to Jesus that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour? Are you willing to admit that Jesus died on that cross and arose from the grave the third day? If you are you canbe saved today right now. There is no sin that you have commited that Jesus hasn't already washed away, He paid for them all, now all you have to do is believe, just pray this sinners pray believing in Jesus with all your heart, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you made a decision for Christ or have any questions, Please send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Ask your question, deal out the celtic cross, and then look up card meanings one at a time, write them down if you have to, then refer back to the celtic cross position meanings (write these down too, next to the card meanings), and then read the story it tells. Repeat until you are sick of doing it, then repeat about a thousand more times. It takes years to get good enough that you can interpret without looking up meanings and even then you will want reference materials. Start with meanings for the Rider Waite deck and then later when you get comfortable you will want to get a different deck. Basic tips: Be flexible in your interpretations, be honest (if something doesn't make sense in a reading, explain to the asker what it means and what its position means, they may offer insight), you also may want to treat them like flashcards for awhile and look up meanings as you go, finally, court cards are almost always representative of people, not ideas when doing a reading. Practice practice practice.

You are.
Study of the tarot is not "evil". Reading the tarot is not "evil". They are simply cards with symbolic pictures that may help you to dig deeper into yourself and your life situations to understand yourself and your journey better.
I don't consider self-growth and self-improvement evil and I don't understand why so many religious fanatics do.
In that example, you are absolutely right...ask a question and flip a coin to determine the answer - does that mean you are stuck with that answer? No. Same with the tarot. Ask a question, flip a card. You're not stuck with that answer as absolute either, because you have free will and the ability to make your own choices and decisions.
Enjoy.
Edit: Regarding the person who answered above me - the cards are only confusing for one who doesn't understand them. Tarot takes a *long* time and much study and practice to *really* know and understand and be able to interpret the cards. It's been my experience as well as other excellent readers I know, that the cards never lie. I'm sorry for your loss, but grandparents die...everyone dies, eventually - that's part of life. The cards did NOT cause your Grandmother's death. Perhaps you received a "heads up" so that you would have time to spend some quality time with your grandmother before her passing...in which case, that was a gift. It all depends on how you look at it.
So many of us procrastinate for too long when it comes to spending time with loved ones...we always think there will be plenty of time, when the truth is, they could be gone at any moment. Sometimes we procrastinate until it's too late and then we regret it for the rest of our lives.

Well, I wouldn't "play" with tarot cards. They're not a toy. At the same time, they're not evil. I read tarot cards (many of my Catholic friends desperately want me to do readings for them, interestingly enough), and what tarot cards do is allow me to tell someone things they already know on some level. When the querent shuffles the cards they transfer their energy to them, their thoughts, and their gut feelings (instints) about what's going on in their lives and what's coming next. Somewhere in their conscious or subconscious they know all the things I'm going to tell them, and I've yet to read for someone who hasn't said, "How do you KNOW that?"
But they're not something to be "played" with, and you shouldn't be doing successive readings for yourself. Most people have a hard time reading accurately for themselves anyway, and if you do too many readings they can become a crutch. I know more than one reader who had to ban clients because they came back too many times and couldn't make decisions without consulting the cards first. Legitimate readers will turn such clientele away.

As someone who "played" with tarot cards I agree with your sister. Tarot, along with other methods of divination, are dangerous spiritually. You may think you're playing, but there's a possibility that you're being "played".
I worked for a psychic and found that the one
constant for tarot is that the cards are confusing. They can also be frightening. And if they do make an actual prediction, it is a devastating one.
Ouija boards, seances, psychics-they are fascinating but dangerous.
I burnt my cards after they predicted my Grandma's death. Yes, they were right, horribly so. And after destroying the cards, I prayed for forgiveness and repented of my sin.
BTW I know that I had nothing to do with my Grandma dying, I just didn't want to continue doing something that I now believe to be sinful and dangerous spiritually and emotionally. These things can become a "black hole" capable of sucking people in-see the answer about a card reader turning people away because of their dependence.

Your sister is right. Tarrot cards are from Satan. Why play with fire. God said to abstain from all appearance of evil. Satan makes things fun for a while, but the end is so awful. Why play with sin. There are demons attached to those tarrot cards also.

You are...they are paper and ink...somehow I don't think those two things combined can be dangerous...although I did get a paper cut once and if I remember correctly there was some printing on that paper...maybe it is evil....
