My computer runs very slow. I am pretty much sure that it is happening because of the windows registry. Can anyone tell me which one is the best registry cleaner or which one improved their pc performance?

There's an excellent free program that will do this, plus other "fixes" that your pc may need. It's called "Advanced Windows Care Personal". You can download it and then install it. Once it's installed, run the program. (On the right of the running program you'll see another window which encourages you to buy some software, but just disregard that). The first time you run the program it may take quite some time to go through your pc to find the problems. This is normal for pc's that haven't been maintained for a long time. So, just wait til it's done, and then all you have to do is click on the "Repair" choice. This program is really an excellent all-around choice. Below is the link to download it. Good luck.

I think you probably have other issues that you haven't addressed yet. I suggest you do everything ELSE first.
Messing with the registry is like brain surgery.... If you don't know what you're doing, you can't possibly help the problem and most likely disable your whole computer so it don't operate at all.
