This is assuming that i have worked 40 years.I know it can be calculated but i'm not sure of the dollar amounts.

Probably a little over $1500 a month. It goes up a little every year, so if you aren't real close to 62, might be more.

The above answers are good. Sometimes, due to change of address and everything, you don't receive your statement. You can also request one on-line. Use the link below on www.ssa.gov. I did it a year ago and it was quick and easy. I got it two weeks later. The statement will break down your benefits at your retirement age and give you estimated benefits if you start drawing at age 62.

COMPLETE FORM SSA 7004 AND SEND IT TO SOCIAL SECURITY. THEY WILL SEND YOU THE DETAIL OF YOUR BENEFIT AT DIFFERENT AGES

It should be on your ss statement you get every year, that is if you worked.

every year ss sends you statemnt, call and ask for another.
