Try to use tversity program ( www.tversity.com ). Follow the provided instructions for certain ports and firewall functions.

from what I HEARD, it you have Vista, it'll detect it on your network....

you can also use Windows Media Player 11 to share your media files (video, photos, music) and the ps3 will stream them down. Use Windows Media Player 11 to turn on media sharing and choose the digital video files on your computer that you want to share with your ps3.

there is also a program called TVersity http://tversity.com/home
