it's not that canada won't let me back in, it's that i am trying to gain us citizenship and when you are doing that, you are not supposed to leave this country so if i want to visit my family, i need to be able to come back home to my husband here. that is the problem, i need permission from the uscis to return to the us, it's not that i can't return to canada, cuz i always will be able to do that. it's just the rules are different when you are applying for citizenship and i am over here on a fiance's visa and so i am supposed to stay here until my citizenship clears, but the uscis said you can submit paper work and request an advanced parole to return to the us, so my question was, how do i convince them to allow me to leave and return (the two together) cuz i can always, leave, it's the returning you need authorization for

U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services has no control over who enters Canada. The Canadian Border Service Agency is the authority that administers the immigration laws of Canada. It is that agency that decides who may legally enter Canada.

CIS does not care if you leave the U.S. Have you asked CIS for a travel document so that you can travel to Canada? That's a different story. You should include that information in your question.

EDIT: You gave the answer right in your question. "The uscis said you can submit paper work and request an advanced parole to return to the us...." By the way, you're not applying for citizenship. You're applying for permanent resident status.

You should apply for the advanced parole. If it's approved, you can go to Canada and come back.

No need to ask the USCIS permission if you want to go to Canada.

The United States Customs and Immigration Service could care less if you go to Canada. They do not control Canadian immigration.

read the Canadian immigration website if you have a felony record, because if you do, CIC may not allow you entry to Canada either.

Unless you are a Canadian citizen? In which case you ShOULD be allowed back in, but you may still need to ask.

If you were deported or are a felon, you won't be able to. Have your family come to your country for a visit.

The bigger question is, what did you do that they will not let you back in?
