Where do all the different races come from then?

They evolved. By the way, god didn't create Adam and Eve. Somebody wrote a (fictional) story saying that god created Adam and Eve.

Human migration some 25, 000 years ago. Scientists have traced genetic markers and the path of human migration from Africa. Through Asia, then India, Australia, parts of Europe, then over an ice bridge onto North America. BBC did a documentary a few years back called "The Journey of Man" which outlines this theory. Different races evolved from climate and environmental conditions. The biggest change was when man chose to wear clothing and lost his pigment from UVA exposure. Climate and temperature play a factor as well. Colder regions cause smaller torsos and shorter people to retain body heat.

The 2 person 'Adam & Eve' story may not be too far off, they traced most of these migrations down to some 10 people in some cases. So if 10 people can populate a country as large as India who really knows the true story. I think that evolution and creationism have a lot more in common than people give it credit for. But there is no way the planet is 3000ish years old, the evidence is strongly overwhelming to say different.

Well in a way God, I believe that God, and evolution is along the same lines. Only stories by man has filled i the missing bits, in a way that man of those times could understand.
Think about go back a few thousand and try to explain to others of that time how it all started. Lets call these two little micro things (can't think of the name) that are the start of life lets call one Adam, and one Eve, and go from there, so God, if you believe in God would have been the maker of evolution, this then means that we would have spread all over the world quite quickly and evolution would have caused us to grow differently.
just a thought, but it can't be proved wrong, although some will try

Okay, from what I heard the story goes like this:
God takes a rib from Adam to make a female version of Adam, which is Eve. So really, if they had kids, they look exactly the same. And if it was up to there kids, there kids and so on would look very similar to Adam and Eve, and after all the reproducing, they look the same.
So, really, the Adam and Eve story is false right?

And plus, what race are Adam and Eve? I mean, blonde, black, red/orange, and brown hair had to come from some where, plus there skin colors.

So, really, im asking:
- Is the Adam and Eve story TOTALLY disproven?
- What race were Adam & Eve? Plus there hair color, big eyes, big nose, small face, small lips, ect. where did that come from?

Each human has 23 pairs of chromosomes.

Each spermatazoa and ovum contains 1 chromosome from each pair. As such, there are 2 ^ 23 = 8,388,608 possible sperm and ova.

Assuming the progenitors had entirely different chromosomes, you would square this again to get the total number of possible chromosomal combinations for an offspring, or, 70,368,744,177,664 -- 70 trillion, 368 billion, 744 million, 177 thousand, 664 possible combinations.

Even with a single originating breeding pair, it is possible, though extremely difficult, to widen the genetic pool sufficiently for viability. It would require intelligent involvement to do so however, such a thing would not likely happen by chance.

However, as Adam and Eve are simply a myth, and humans evolved, this is all a moot point anyways.

There were other people in the world after Adam and Eve... in different places.
Adam and Eve had two sons and they produced children with women outside of their family who were living around them.
I wasn't there, but I believe God put people around the world after Adam and Eve, different races, features, diversity...

Apparently you will have to change your conception of Adam and Eve if you want to fit it in to current knowledge. Perhaps Adam was the name of the Adamic line and referred to more than one person obviously. But good question anyways since no-one was here all we can do is intellectually try to pull all the myths and stuff together into one functional theory.

You should also search Y!A, because this question has been asked numerous times.

Adam and Eve had all the racial DNA of humanity in their gene pool. So, as their offspring separated, different genetic idiosyncrasies became more prevalent because of a lack of homogeneous interaction.

We see the exact opposite of this today. Black people aren't nearly as dark, Asians aren't nearly as yellowish, and Caucasians aren't nearly as stark white. As the different races intermix, their genetic material is merging back.

I suspect Adam and Eve were rather coffeeish in color, but who really knows but God.

actually it would take more faith to believe you evolved than having more logic coming from your first parents
the human race had to start from 2 people, and we started speaking different lang. at the tower of babel, which is why its called that.
i suspect as people are lazy and dont look up the meaning of a word, are just as likely not too look up something in the bible.
does anyone study anymore, or is it an ipod generation

christians who are ignorant of genetics will tell you that the different races were inside the genes of adam and eve.

but that is a total impossibility and a fallacy.

dont let anyone fool you, a two person creation story is impossible.

but it IS a nice story, and some draw comfort from it, so I am officially done trying to prove christianity wrong.

have a nice day.

Whether you want to look at this religiously or secularly, there was one pair of humans, or protohom0nids that produced the first human offspring.

The races evolved to adapt to their environments.
