I just got a PS2 and i dont have a memory card. i want to know:

1. What brand is the best? (or do generic brands work the same because they sell for less money)

2. How many MB or GB or whatever? (i have no clue)

3. do i need one memory card for each game or just one or two for all of them?

As you can tell, i dont know much about them so give me as much help as possible! thanks.

you should get about 8mb or bigger
the official ones come at only 8mb and if you get a third party one it can be more but the official 8mb ones are more reliable

and you can use one or two for all games

1) Definitely buy SONY brand. Many off-brand cards will corrupt data, and many aren't even readable on the new PS2s or the PS3 (think about that for the future).

2) SONY cards will all be 8 MB.

3) You can save a lot of games on an 8 MB. All file sizes are different, but you can probably store 20-30 save files on each card.

Have fun! :)

you only need one memory card for alot of games. one ps2 memory card has 8000 KB. if you have like 40 games, or you have games like call of duty that take up alot of memory then i reccomend you get the double memory card pack. if you only have some games then you should get one memory card. there are also no different brands all are the same. KB are smaller than MB and GB.

hope this helps, happy new year!

Click the link below to see which kind you need. That's the best one in my opinion and most people use that one. It can hold up to 8MB. You only need one for all of your games unless you run out of space, then you'll have to get another one ot just delete some of the stuff that you don't need.

I have the same model PS2. I got a really cheap 8MB one on half.com that works fine. It's an ugly yellow, but who cares?

1. Any brands will do. Sony is still the best. ;)
2. Usually comes in 8Mb.
3. You only need 1 memory card. Just buy another when it say's memory full.

They cost $15-$25.

1. Just get any one from the place where you got your PS3. Its all the same brand.

2. They are ALL 2MB. Dont worry about it, just get one from a store or something.

3. You just need one, MAYBE 2 for all of them.
