This has happened to me three times now.

Yes I have and it is very annoying.
The worst one was for a question I got best answer to like several months earlier.
That was just crazy.

I say that the ONLY reason a question (OR answer) should be reported is if it violates the Yahoo Community Guidelines.
If a question OUGHT to be reported, it doesn't deserve an answer in the first place.
I used to answer by saying "This violates yahoo ... because ..." then report it, but then I realized that this was hypocritical to report a question I responded to.
I say use your voting powers and get rid of rude, insolent, insulting, mocking, scoffing questions that do no more than tear down straw men that the questioner built in the vanity of their evil minds.

The person probably gave a faster "best answer" response than Yahoo Answers response to the question being reported...

I've even had some get questions deleted while I was WRITING the best answer :)

I once got an answer deleted I fought it and got it reinstated and then I got the best answer.

Yes..I also had this happen about three times as well.
I look at it this way..If They can't handle the heat..they should stay out of the kitchen
