Of course, this is America, and I think the truth still has some standing in the legal sense.

Legal Yes But Should It Happen No. Religion Or Non Religion Shouldn't Be Taught At All And That Is The End Of It. A Child Has A Hard Enough Time In Life And The Last Thing They Should Have To Worry About Is If They Have Been Good Enough To Make It To Heaven. That Is Just A Horrible Thing. I Truly Believe That Religion Was Formed To Shape A " Perfect " Society. Well The World Is Opening There Eyes And It Is About Time

It is legal. And I, as a Christian Fundie would stand by your side to defend that right. I believe that our government should get out of the business of educating children. Socialist practices like this never work in the long run. I believe the first step is pushing for school vouchers. You take your kids where you think they'll be taught the truth, and I'll take mine where I believe they will be taught the truth.

With everybody pulling the schools in 100 different directions, nothing is being done except that we are falling behind the rest of the world. And NONE of our children are being taught what we want them to be taught.

I'm not sure about the legality of this. I think however, that children are not simply old enough to be able to grasp any of these ideas. When children are born we do not call them according to their parents political affiliation, we don't say that a child is a republican or a democrat. We believe that a child's mind is not able to grasp political ideas. How are they suppose to grasp ideas regarding eternal peace, damnation, or that there is simply no god. I personally do not adhere to biblical doctrines nor do i have faith in supernatural beings, but i believe this is a matter for children to make their own decision and a desicion they should make by themselves later in their lives when their minds are old enoughh to understand.

I would hope that teachers in such a school would be more careful than to use phrases like "sky-daddy," "fairytale," and "load of rubbish." Do You sincerely want Your own children calling others "stupid" and "deluded" and getting beat up by the majority?

Schools already do that, but they're not allowed to come out and say it. If you have a private school, you can say anything you want.
