Yes, it does promote opinion, because belief in God requires faith. The atheist can't say "I have faith that God does not exist," because an atheist does not have faith.

Tsk Tsk look at all those thumbs down. LOL!

The definition of faith is being certain of that which as yet is unseen. Everyone has "faith" in something. An atheist has faith in himself. A Christian has faith in GOD. They are both opinions and faiths. We will each have to live with the consequences of our faith. The good news is that GOD sent His Son to die for all of us.

faith means believing something with no evidence to support that conclusion.

Atheists do not have "faith" in their convictions, since the evidence shows that their beliefs are based on evidence and reality (there is NO proof of god).

an opinion is very similar, but usually derives from a differing conclusions from evidence.

I think it would be more accurate to say you have faith in god then it would to say "in your opinion" god exists - but the differences are rather trivial. And of course technically meaningless since there is no god.

Faith is unchanging belief in what you presumed to be true. Opinions change. Idea is accepted but not lived upon as a principle in your life. Faith is intricate fabric of your like you base your values and moral ethics.
