Okay, your point is probably based on a premedidtated desire to disprove who Jesus was. Your not the first and won't be the last. I just don't see how these statements contradict each other. He knows he is going to come back but he doesn't know when, neither do his disciples. True statement. Where's the contradiction?

Hello there.
You raise VERY good points , but you are not understanding what it says because of one main reason.
You believe that God and Jesus are the same person. - which is not true.
What you say is perfectly correct though , if God and Jesus were the same person , then obviously , Jesus would know the time of the end.-- its just simple logic isn't it.
You cant 'know' and 'not know' at the same time :-)
The fact of the matter is that Jesus is Jehovah Gods first born son , his first creation.
Therefore Jesus is NOT God.
There are a number of scriptures which show that the exact time of the end (the date) was not given to Jesus.
The end of this wicked system of things is Armageddon.
Armageddon is Jehovah Gods war against all those that have proven to oppose him.
Although it is Gods war , it is Jesus that will lead the charge against the unGodly and do the battle with Gods power backing him up.
The exact 'time' is when Jehovah decides that enough is enough.
When this happens , he will then signal his son to start the attack to clean up this mess that Satan and his followers have made.
The statement in Matthew 24 that Jesus made makes more sense when you take it in context with the surrounding scriptures.
He said ..
Matthew 24:36-39 "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be."
He he is saying that the 'end time' will not be anticipated by the majority.
In fact , men will be marrying and women being given in marriage and so on ,..
They will have the mind set that all things seem pretty good at that time.
This is in line with another scripture...
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 ". . .For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah's day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying: "Peace and security!" then sudden destruction . . ."
So this is NOT a contradiction in any way , rather it is a fact supported by a number of passages in the Bible.
The fact is , that the end will come when most are not expecting it -- just a as thief comes in the night , when everyone is sleepy.
For those interested in avoiding the hard judgment of this calamitous worldwide event, please feel free to email me for more details.

Jesus is true God and true man. He had a human body and soul. His humanity was material and therefore was limited by his human brain. His divinity was unlimited. He even had two wills, a human will and a divine will. His humanity could know only spiritual knowledge that His divinity revealed to the humanity. His humanity could know that something was going to happen without knowing when it was going to happen. His humanity was in heaven while He was on earth because heaven is a state not a place. John 10:30 indicates that as the second person of the Trinity, He was one God with the Father. Pray on these thoughts. It is a big chunk of theology.

Jesus as God in human form was not claimed to have all of God's knowledge, since he was limited by his human form.
Also, it is not logically contradictory to know some things about his return, but not everything. For example, you can know that something happens at night, but not know which night.
More significantly, he also said (if you believe the Biblical account) that all that stuff would happen "soon," while some of the people standing there were still alive. There is no reasonable way to interpret that to mean 2,000 years or more.

I don't really see the contradiction to this.
It's like saying:
1. My Dad will come back from work after picking me up from school. Only he knows the time.
2. I will be coming home when you least expect it because you don't know the time, neither do I, only my Dad knows when he's picking me up from school.

IF.....you can find a lie in the bible, or can prove anything is false, the Christian world will beat a path to your door. But you can't. Those of you who think you can, have not read the Bible.
If your wife tells you to go to the store for milk, do you know hwen you will go? No only she has that power, but you Will go......
That logic sux just like you logic sux.

In any event, the evangelisms of the son of man are strictly regulated to Jewish residents. It is a Greek tax collector that embellished the tale for the rest of us. What you quote is not part and parcel of Paul.

Actually part of what you are saying is how people who believe in God are able to learn which is from God..and which is recorded by scribes who were worried about profaning God.
