I love traveling. But I wouldn't meet some guy just for the purpose of having a place to stay when I traveled to his area because I'm not trading favors, if you know what I mean. If I want to travel an area, I'll do it solo or with friends; I wouldn't go out of my way to lead a guy on just so I can see his country. I don't need him for that. So I'd say I was into him.

If you're into travel, then it's not a waste of time. You don't have to actually be into him that intimately to get a free stay. That is unless he is expecting some action or you are willing to give it up as a way of saying thank you for the room and board and you are willing to concede he may expect something like that. Hey! Whatever is your priority and sense of morals or duty.
