My step daughter came over christmas eve sick and sneezed and coughed all over everything...Now I'm sick. Stuffy nose, sore throat, cough that hurts my throat and chest. I don't have time to go to the doctor, is there anything I can take to knock this crap out? This morning I took Robutussim, I feel better somewhat but my cough is killing me..

Remember to keep liquids in your body. There are great OTC cold remedies at the drug store, and invest in a bottle of vitamiln C.

dayquil works good and also thera flu but in the future try using Zicam ( a homeopathic nasal gel)if your around someone who is sick or if you feel like your are coming down with something. Airborne works well also to prevent colds, which is a supplement you drop in a glass of water and drink. I haven't had a cold in over two years by using these products. You can get them both at the pharmacy. Hope you feel better soon:)

Robustussin is a pretty much the best thing you can take. You might need an antibiotic if the cold doesn't get better after a couple of days. Also remember that a common cold can last up to 14 days.

Google the "lemonade diet" and you'll find a good cure. It's a mixture of cayenne, fresh squeezed lemon, maple syrup, and water. I take some very time I get a cold and it clears up within a day or two.

I'd suggest that you see a doctor if your symptoms continue for a while.
However, maybe taking some Motrin or Tylenol Cold or something will help you.

Good luck and feel better!
