Your question makes no sense. What is the system you are referring to that creating a "red light" would be a problem? I haven't a clue as to what you are referring to since I am not privy to the text or question posed that you are asking about.
Off hand, get a 3 volt battery, such as a lithium ion coin cell, a holder for it, a couple of clip leads a small resistor, about 150 ohms should do quite well and a red LED. Properly connect it all together and you will have a light source that produces a red colored light. If you want more than that, then give the details needed for the problem rather than assume that people know what you are asking about.

A red light is generally either a 'power on` indicator
or a trouble indicator.
If you don't specify the "system", we've got no
chance of answering or trouble-shooting.
