I met this one girl at a club. She told me she's 22 and she looks so youthful she probably could've passed for that age. However, she made the mistake of giving me her email address, which allowed me to collect a fairly comprehensive dossier on her and it turns out she's really in her 30's. What gives?

You complain that she lied (and yes, some do, some don't. I do, but generally not younger, this year it's 6 years older), but you're just kinda creepy. Why would you want/need a comprehensive dossier on someone? Are you planning identity theft or just stalking?

I don't know, Why do men lie about their age? I am sure the reasons are basically the same.

There was an article in yesterdays paper of a fairly notable man who died. It said he was 88 and his son said he was really 92, I had to wonder what is the point in changing your age. I Have really never understood it either. At that age it seems fairly pointless.

Women are sensitive to alot of things because everything in their life connects. The world, especially guys, place very high demands on women and create even more of a need for them to compete. Guys can state their age to others and not connect it to anything else in their life. Women don't have that same freedom. Guys think in boxes and women thing in one, long connected string of life. For a woman to state her age is to give the asker a measuring stick to hold against heer apperance, her career level, her financial status, etc. It makes it very uncomfortable. Much easier to be a guy in this world. Not that we have it made or anything. Just easier than being a woman. As I watch my wife deal with life as a woman, it reminds me of how thankful I am to be a man. GO LADIES!

Women think that men like younger women... which they probably do. But, also they kind of go through mid life crisis by the time they reach 28. They realize that they don't really have as much time as they thought to live, even though they just really started they're real life. They just want to live young all the time and for men to treat them like a young woman.

A woman's value is directly attributed to their age. As they get older they loose value, looks, sexiness, baby making ability. Women are at their prime from 18 to 25,, after that, 30 is the sell by date. If they are not married by 30, chances are very slim that they will be. At 35, stick a fork in them, they are done. Sorry but its true. I didn't make the rules,,nature did.

So she is desperate to hook a guy and is lying to get one. Run away from this one!!!!

Well only a few women lie about their age. Probably likes younger men and thinks they won't like her if she tell the truth. But I am intrigued - how can you get data from someones email address?

Aging is scary, I'm only 23 and still tell people that i'm 21. I do it cause I may be insecure about how my life has gone so far at my age. (I would like to have accomplished a little more by now so by saying that i'm younger in age makes me feel like i'm doing alright).

I don't know why women lie about age. Heck, I'd rather have 30's than 22. Experience counts for alot!

Because men always seem to want a younger woman. So they lie. If she would have told you how old she was you would have run screaming and if she can pass for it then go get em girl!!

You need to be careful about generalizing. All women don't lie about their age, just like all men don't take an e-mail address and fancy themselves super-sleuth of the year.
