Here in Australia ALL dentists put a Dr before their name, but most of them only have a Bachelor of Dentistry, as shown after their name. No DD any where.

Any Doctor degree is a post graduate degree.

Many professionals like vets, dentists, medics, etc, never study for a Doctors Degree after their Bachelor Degree

Anyone with an advanced doctorate can be called "Dr". It doesn't have to be a medical degree either. Pharmacists, psychiatrists, and professors are often referred to as "Dr. _____".

I have never met a dentist without a doctor of dentistry degree nor a vet without an equivalent. Paramedics don't need degrees, and aren't called "Dr"
