I bought a cord and software for my Rzr off eBay, and the disk arived damaged, it is completely cracked in two! The seller had a 98% positvie feed back, after my purchase they sent me an email saying I could contact them if I was dissastified. I emailed them imedateley after I opened my package (which was a flimsy envlope, with no kind of bubble wrap or some cardbord to or marked fragile material, I don't know whta they were thinking!). They haven't contacted me yet (its been almost 24 hrs.) how long do I wait unitl I take action like report them on eBay or whatever. I am new to eBay so any imput will help. Thanks.

With it being around the holidays, I would wait at least a week at the minimum. I buy a LOT on Ebay...used to sell too, but I've only had a problem with maybe 1 or 2 sellers that never contacted me back. I usually gave a week minimum for them to respond before I wrote them one last time. If they didn't reply to the second after 3 days, I reported to Ebay. Now, they may try to argue that you didn't buy insurance (if you didn't) but either way, if you take proper pictures of the envelope (if you still have it) and the disc, you should be able to prove your case pretty well. Also, don't delete ANY of the letters you send this guys way. ALWAYS do it through the ebay message center...don't use your email. This way, it's kept on file and they can check your account to make sure you are telling the truth.

If they have that high of feedback I would think they will do what is needed to make things right. Give them a couple days as sometimes these are large operations and dont check the account every hour like someone with a smaller setup. Be patient, 2-4 days.

Try to report now, and it will stop you if it's too early. It'll walk your through the time line, step-by-step.

i would send a second e-mail, wait another 24 hours, then initiate a dispute.
