What is the actual number of years of actual world peace in recorded history? I remember reading as a child that the number was around 200-250 over a unknown period of time. thanks.

Not that I know every period of time in recorded human history, but I think it's safe to say that there has never been absolute peace between nations. There always have been, and will be nations fighting amonst one another. I guess it's just human nature to try to gain control over another.

There have been exactly zero! At no time in recorded history has there been an absence of conflict and war someplace in the world. Are you one of those gullible young'uns who think World War Two ended with the surrender of the Japanese in 1945? If so, I got news for ya, child...

I know of no such number. But from what i know about history, your number may seem high. You may be thinking between two nations, but in the world, someone is fighting someone, be it sects, tribes, nations or cities. Human history is not peace, it is something that has yet to be acheived.

It all depends on the tactics and strategy of the commanders and the way the field commanders do their jobs. Bolivar can hide in the forests of South Africa but Napoleon with his grand cannons can level the forest where Bolivar is hiding in a few hours. But the problem is whe Napoleon retreats. As shown in Russia, he tends to be the first to flee, then Bolivar can harass his rear and cut his army, weakening him enough that he can no longer mount a successful counter-offensive.

There has never been peace on earth in recorded history. As long as mankind survives, there will always be war.

I don't think the question could be answered reliably, but I would say there has never been world peace.
