Start drinking Old Jack Daniels, and tell em' to all go to hell! LOL...jk honey....start ignoring them...they truly could care less about you...people love it when they know they can get to a good person...just pray on it, and the Lord will hear you...

Well, my initial reaction would be to punch them in the face. However, you would get arrested and it's not worth it.

Therefore, my suggestion would be to stay away from those people who patronize and belittle you. Hang around people that are positive, supportive and encouraging. Even if it's a parent, sibling or significant other. The significant other, I would have to tell them how this makes me feel and ask that they stop. The parent, well, parents are parents and I would just visit less. If a co-worker, I would report them. And, if a boss, I would quit my job.

Think of iron ore. It has to be heated, processed, and purified several times before you get pure iron.

Overcoming something is just like that. It is not something you get over in a day - but little by little, you have to work on it and little by little, it gets easier.

People who belittle another have problems themselves - or they wouldn't be cruel like that. The more you realize that they are hurting and suffering too, (even if they don't seem it or realise it themselves) it becomes harder to get offended at their remarks.
