In the mirror i absolutely love myself (to the extent of feeling that no one else is better) but i just saw my video the other day and i found myself terrible!!! In the mirror, no matter how wide my smile is, it looks perfect, the teeth dont look large. While in the video, when i smiled subtly my teeth seemed giant... WHY??? Anyone has the answer????

The mirror definetly! Sometimes in pictures, the lighting is bad or you just can't tell what your doing. Like, in all of my school pictures, my right eye is demented, but in the mirror it's not. Don't stress about how you look or sound in videos or pictures because they change a lot of your apperance. And remember, your beautiful no matter what!

hi, i know how you feel! i like how i look in a mirror better than in pictures. to be honest, i think the most accurate has to be a video recording. when you look into a mirror, your perception is distorted because you are looking down at your body; when most people see you, they don't see you at that direct angle that you see yourself. more importantly, when you are looking into a mirror, you are controlling how you want yourself to look by adjusting your smile the way you want. when someone is taking a photo of you or a video recording, you can't see how you look so you can't control your smile and adjust it the way you want it. a photo is not 100% too because it's also possible that people are just not photogenic (like me) because they don't know how to pose in photographs (they don't know all their best angles, they aren't ready for the photograph, etc. etc.). with that being said, i think a video recording is the MOST accurate view you can have of yourself from another person's point of view.

You make slight adjustments when looking into the mirror. The same would happen if you were to view the live feed from the video. Give it a try.

It depends upon the quality of the mirror. Check your reflection in a cheap mirror and then in one of good quality and you should notice a difference.
The problem with photographs is that so much depends upon the lighting. The amount, color temperature and direction of light all affect the image.

Cameras distort, that's the bad news and the good news. Good photographers know how use distortion to advantage, bad photographers don't. Simple.

in the mirror you see who you wanna see, its like walking past a shop window and catching glimpse your like omg do i look that fat?? photos are a better way of seeing who you are

To change or create new avatar just login to yahoo answers and press on "My Q&A" from upper right, then from the window appear click on "Edit My Info" then from window appear click on "Get my Yahoo! avatar now!" from middle right in window, and follow steps, after get avatar follow steps to "Edit My Info" or refresh "Edit My Info" page and click on "choose my yahoo avatar" from right of edit window. But to get a real picture to your account follow steps to "Edit My Info" and press on "get my yahoo 360 page" after you get it, on your 360 page click on "my page" from upper right and upload new photo from left of window appear, after get the picture Just follow steps to "Edit My Info" page, then click on choose my 360 picture.
