They'll weasel around and out of this one like they always do.

The fact they are polytheistic annoys them when it's pointed out.

Jesus didn't command Christians to worship Him, but to worship God the Father.

When we pray, we pray to God, in the name of Jesus, as commanded in the Scriptures. And when God gave the ten commandments, Jesus had not yet been born into the Earth, so I don't think God intended for Jesus to be included as 'another god'. What He meant was the pagan gods.

Either way, you believe what you want, and let Christians believe what they want. I fail to see how questions like this are any different than the 'intolerance' that people like you keep screaming at Christians.

The question about Jesus can be resolved in this way: Either He was a madman; a great liar and deceiver; or He was what He said He was, the one God who took on flesh to bring the good news to all mankind, not just the Jews alone. Read the Christian scripture accounts of His life. God bless you.

We all live in this world of sin and we are going to sin that is why Jesus came. Paul said I find in me to do the things that I would not do (sin) and I don`t do the things that I would do (the right thing) but he would repent and go on. He said I forget those things behind and PRESS toward the mark of my high calling in Christ. We live in this and in this flesh and we are going to sin,but when we truly mean it and ask God to forgive us he does. The thing is that many people are not straight up with God and think they can play games with him. God wants everyone to live with him forever not throw them away. God has given a great price for all of us.

Paul, who lived aprox. 500 yrs after Jesus, created the trinity that united God, Jesus, and Gabriel. Jesus was a man, who threw the will of God, showed us the mercy and love of our God. Jesus was also a Jew and never ate pork. He prayed to the God of Moses, and the God of Abrahiem. And he never said "I am God, or I am the son of God". Just a few more changes that Christians overlook in their ever changing religion.

Jesus was True God, but also True Man. He was 100% of both. We saw his human traits when he wept at the death of his friend, but we also saw his Divine attributes when he performed miracles and rose from the dead.

If Jesus had not been True Man, he could not have died for us, because True God cannot die. True God can cause the True Man to rise from the dead, if He chooses.

If Jesus had not been True God, his death as a man would have been meaningless because he would have been like any other sinful creature from birth, sinful from the moment of conception, as Psalms teaches. Salvation would have been lost.

We may have broke rule one of the 10 commandments, butit is not "Jesus" since Jesus is God. That is a basic teaching of Christianity found in the Bible. But rule One is you are not to have any gods before God, and the church has slipped into materialism, and humanism as is predicted in the Bible.

Today's Christianity is Not Jesus' Religion*

[5:72] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah himself said, "O Children of Israel, you shall worship GOD; my Lord and your Lord." Anyone who sets up any idol beside GOD, GOD has forbidden Paradise for him, and his destiny is Hell. The wicked have no helpers.

[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.

[5:74] Would they not repent to GOD, and ask His forgiveness? GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

[5:75] The Messiah, son of Mary, is no more than a messenger like the messengers before him, and his mother was a saint. Both of them used to eat the food. Note how we explain the revelations for them, and note how they still deviate!

[5:76] Say, "Would you worship beside GOD powerless idols who can neither harm you, nor benefit you? GOD is Hearer, Omniscient."

*5:72-76 In John 20:17, we see that Jesus taught that he was neither God, nor the son of God. Many theologians have concluded, after careful research, that today's Christianity is not the same Christianity taught by Jesus. Two outstanding books on this subject are "The Myth of God Incarnate" (The Westminster Press, Philadelphia, 1977) and The "Mythmaker" (Harper & Row, New York, 1986). On the front jacket of "The Mythmaker" we read the following statement:
" ...Hyam Maccoby presents new arguments to support the view that Paul, not Jesus, was the founder of Christianity....it was Paul alone who created a new religion through his vision of Jesus as a divine Saviour who died to save humanity."

This is not a question, but an accusation. I could not care less what anyone believes about God and Jesus, but I really dislike this "I am a better christian than you are" kind of stuff. If you want to dialog you should rethink your question style.

Jesus was the God of the old covenant.

Regardless, Christians are not, and never were, a party to that covenant law.
