I you don't lump all the Christians in one category I won't lump non believers or believers of different thought and faith in one category...deal?
I don't believe that any non Christian is a sinner, we ALL are sinners, me no better or worst then you. What I believe or don't believe in is irrelevant to you or what you want to believe. If people are bashing you because of what you believe or don't believe, then they are NOT practicing true Christian morels. All of us fall short...to the glory of God (I had to put that part in-LOL)

I think most Christians believe that it is their duty and responsibility to spread their message to a world that is lost according to the scripture they hold as God's word to mankind.
In most cases I don't think it is a conscious attempt to cram these views down people's throat or try to act superior even though it may come off that way. For most, I think it is actually something they are doing at the risk of their own reputation and credibility because they think this is how they can best display love for those who they believe are lost and in danger without their God.
I think if more people analyzed the motivation (however misguided they felt it was) they may be able to have more tolerance for them. (Intolerance and narrow mindedness can be a two-way street.)
Its a shame that some of the more zealous, extreme minorities of religion create such broad perceptions about religious people in general. I think its a bit unfair and narrow in its own right.

I don't know which Christians you know, but I am a Christian and it is written, that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Just because a Christian is saved and born again doesn't mean to say they are not a sinner. Only one was perfect and never sinned.
The Bible tells us there is only one God.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.
The Bible tells us to preach the gospel to every creature.
Intolerance and narrow-mindedness does cause wars, and plenty of atheists and other believers are just as guilty of this as Christians.
It's just that many Christians are poorly taught, rather than reading the book and learning it on their own.

What kind of person believes they have the truth yet would be unwilling to follow through on it's natural logical convictions? Theyre called hypocrites. What youre actually saying is that Christians should be hypocrites and not believe for themselves!
We dont deny the existence of other religions, but deny their value in serving God. Our evidence is in Jesus in whom no other religion can boast who did miracles, rasied the dead, and offered eternal salvation through him.
What drives our definition of a sinner comes from what the definition of sin means to begin with; disobedience to God. Who is a sinner? Those who are dedicated to disobeying God.
What causes wars is the inability of humankind to agree on anything; land, what govt to have, how much freedom we should have, how much taxes we should pay, who should be allowed to rule what. Name one war in the 20th century that was brought about by religion??? This whole "religion causes wars" thing is just a diversion at best and at worst a mindless stereotype and slander against it.
Your percieved weaknesses of Christianity are ever present in your own statements. How tolerant are you of Christianity? How open-minded are you to the Bible???

First off, that's the idea. We're supposed to help each other find the truth. Too bad most PUSH their beliefs on each other instead of just "letting it go". It's not just Christianity. Now you are narrow-minded in your question if you think it's just Christians. I've met plenty of atheists and Muslims who have tried over and over to convert me. Does that make them any different? Read some of the answers to the religious questions surrounding Christianity. There's almost always a Muslim who just HAS to quote the Quran eventhough the question isn't directed at him or her. And of course there's always one atheist who has to say "God doesn't exist, or Religious people are idiots". I saw a question on here earlier where a little girl was asking for prayers for her family in need. Atheists were saying "There is no God, why should I pray for you?". So tell me, how does that make them any different than Christians who can't stop pushing their beliefs on others?

First of all, a person IS NOT judged by his religion but by his character. Christians are not saying that they are sinners. Whoever told you this has a huge lack of basis and is
ike a racist. This question in fact will even be a source of more conflict instead of peace among religions. The Christians are trying to make peace, not war. They are trying to bring people of other religions to the saving power of Christ. The Christians are also trying to give them an opportunity to bond with Christ.

You should study more on the history of the religion you are currently bashing...
Paganism was the first religion on the planet and it consisted of some pretty nasty rituals such as "passing children through the arms of Molech." This essentially meant taking a live infant and laying the baby on the molten hot stone arms of a statue until it burned to death and was consumed by the fire. So God first established Himself with Noah and then on to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by way of a plan..first by way of one specific people, then a nation and then the World by way of Jesus Christ. Almost all monotheistic religions stem from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, or God of the Hebrews as that is what the OT is comprised of. Then what was Judaism branched out into Christianity then to Islam as prophecied by scripture. All other religions on the planet are pagan in nature though far less violent than their predecessors but this also has to do with Christianity as even the principles of Gods noble laws intermingled with pagan practices over the years the same way that pagan practices have intermingled with Biblical teachings. Christianity is an idea of being a person who believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaches it to other so that they might achieve life eternally yet of all the differing sectors of Christianity...the Bible remains unchanged from the original KJV which is the most accurate and few Christian sects teach the Bible...instead they teach traditions and doctrines of men by way of inheritance through the one apostate church as prophecied in scripture. The truth is there to be had and truth isn't relative..its either truth or its at the very least fiction if not an outright lie or deception. Any Christian that tells you only non-christians sin is a liar and doesn't understand thier own precepts but lean on their own understanding..which the Bible warns us not to do. We all fall short...we all miss the mark...we are all sinners. Yet, there are those that are utterly wicked and evil...we still all deserve destruction...except that what Christ did for us makes us clean and returns us to the possibility of being little children again as we were intended to be in the beginning. That's the conclusion that the Bible leads us to that no other religion teaches. A solution to the dilemma of sin...Jesus said.."I go to prepare a place for you.." That place is a new heaven and a new earth which we will inhabit for eternity after the resurrection but there will be no corruption of death, wickedness, evil or otherwise. No tears, suffering or pain. What other faith system teaches this that doesn't also teach that you can acheive it yourself? None but the Bible. What causes wars is hunger for power and dominance...some men recruit solders to fight these wars under the understanding that is all for their homeland but in truth its done to achieve the goals of men with fortune. Anything that steers you away from the truth is of the devil...anger, resentment, skeptism and outrigt disbelief. You may call it being judgemental..but true judgement means that when I, as a bible believing christian, look upon another and say in my heart..they are unworthy of hearing the truth of the gospel because God can't love them as much as He loves me...now I could understand ya gettin' all bundged over a message that teaches that..but intruth ...God does love you and wants to invite you to seek Him. Please do so. Love in Christ, ~J~

I was a Christian and now I am a non-believer. I admit I used to be like that, because I truly believed it was my mission. The bible teaches that Christ is the only way to eternal life. In order for that to be fair, everyone must get a chance to hear his message, and it's believers' responsibility to provide that chance.
Christians do it out of "love"; they want to save you because they care about you. Because they strongly believe that without faith in Jesus, you won't have your sins forgiven and embrace eternal life. In my opinion, a certain degree of narrow-mindedness is needed to believe something like that. The thing is, when one believes in one truth and a "final judgment" based on faith, it's hard to make room for tolerance.
I used to bombard atheist message boards with posts about Christianity. I used to pray for God to change people and open their hearts, and for the courage to not give up trying. I smile when I look back at it now because I really, really believed in what I was doing. I smile when the same words I preached now irritate me so much. Life is better lived searching for a truth rather than trying to prove one.

I would like others to base their life on the life and teachings of Jesus because I believe the world would be a better place for us all if they did. But I an happy to acknowledge that other religions such as Buddhism share the same basic ethical and moral standards so I have no great desire to 'convert' them.
I get very sad at the people who live their lives selfishly and spend so much of their energy defending their rights and not acknowledging any duties.
I don't see anything tolerant about enjoying a high standard of living when so many people live in poverty.
Having said this the most positive form of evangelism is to live you life for Christ because that is what attracts other people to Him.

I believe that the answer to your question is moderation. Like any other religion, moderation is the key. If you belive in something, it should be a matter taken unto yourself. People have the right to express themselves, but when you start to impose beliefs onto others, you are simply a fanatic. Christian or otherwise.
Most Christians I know keep to themselves and express themselves only moderately. Those who admonish others as "sinners" are misguided and intolerant.
However, it should be known that the same attitude you express in some Christians (if you are not one of us, you are NOT one of us) can be applied to some individuals in most of the worlds other major religions...

Its like there cause. Being a Christian is like believing in brotherhood, and sharing and stuff. I think because there this End of the world where God will take all of the Christians to heaven or paradise again to be with him there mission is to make more people go to the religion or believe in God so many people will be saved. Its both difficult for the Christian and for the non-believer since its like a new thing its like teaching a child with something.
