The geyser working mechanism is very simple.
The water enters the geyser through the pipe.
It enters a container that has alloy coil.
You know abt. resistance and the current.
The Ohm's law.
Anyway u know the heating effects of electricity.
So when the electricity is passed the coil gets heated and thereby heats the water.
You may now hav question that when water conducts heat dont we receive shock??
I have an answer for this also, The alloy coil is covered ceramic insulator but it is good conductor.

Steam power. Underground, a chamber (connected to the surface by vents) has water entering at a constant rate (from a spring). This chamber is connected to magma such that the temperature is sufficient to turn a part of the water into steam. Eventually, the pressure is sufficient that it drives the remaining water up the vent. As the water level drops, more and more steam is generated and the chamber completely evacuates. The process is carefully balanced and it's occurrence is rare.

A simplified explanation is that liquid water seeps into a very hot container - and is turned into superheated steam, eventually, this pocket of super heated steam rises quickly to the surface of container, gather velocity and pulling along liquid with it.

do you really want to know that

there is heating coil inside which starts, and water is always flowing thru it. when the inside temp reaches certain level. the thermostat stops the heating coil from further heating.
