It's best not to bath with the use of frontline, yes you can give a bath 3 days after but the liquid works with the poor system and works best and longer if no bath given 3 days before and after. And if they need a bath (which your kitty didn't) use just regular if you use a flea control it'll wash off the frontline. I've used frontline for all four dogs and four cats and not fleas in over 10 yr.s Also one other thing make sure it's frontline plus PLUS. It does work, if done right. Cats and dogs have different PH balances for there skin and cats should only get a bath when needed. You are using over kill with the collar as well, most cats get very toxic from flea collars I would remove it. Your vet can and will go over all this with you, give them a call. Best of luck hopefully it's a simply fix and this problems will go away for you and your kitty.
For the house use a flea spray that has a nylar system in it, sprays and bombs will kill the larva, puppa and fleas but won't get to the eggs with the nylar system it'll last up to 3 months in the home and when the new fleas come in and eggs hatch they will die.

First of all, get the flea collar off him. It isn't doing anything apart from possibly annoying the cat. Second of all, don't bath the cat at all - bathing does nothing to get rid of fleas. Stick with the Frontline, or switch to one of the other veterinary spot-ons. Whichever you use, make sure you get it on the cat's skin, not his fur.
Also get a spray for your house, you need it. Keeping a cat indoors does not make it safe from fleas as you now know; fleas enter houses easily when they sense a meal.

fleas are very difficult to get rid of. i have 4 cats, one is outdoor, so i suspect thats the culprit. but you can bring fleas in on your clothes when your outside. etc.
keep using a product from the vet like advantage. do not stop after a few months. keep it up. spray the house, and the best tip off all, vacuum alot, and throw the bag away immediately or they will just escape.
do not use products from the pet stores, grocery stores. i recently found out, that they no longer carry the same pesticides due to new regulations, and have hardly any effect on fleas. also, fleas like any other pest can develope an immunity to a product. so try switching.
another thing is to limit access to the house. do not let the cat in say your bedrooms, then you can concentrate your efforts in the rest of the rooms.
wash in hot soapy water all bedding if the cat has a favorite spot to sleep. with couches and chesterfields, i have a small portable steam cleaner.
fleas hate water, so shampooing carpets/ furniture/bedding is a great way to control them.
fleas like to get into cracks, so if the cat was allowed in the bedroom, take out all clothes out of drawers, wash and vacuum the drawers. look for flea dirt, small black specks, and concentrate efforts there.
another thing you can do to see if your having any effect on them at all, is to use a flea comb. when you get the flea off, immediately put the comb in hot water to kill the flea.
fleas have a very long life cycle, which is why you need to keep using a product such as advantage continuously.
do not use flea collars, they are ineffective and usually are just an irritant to the cat.
also do a search on google, there is something called damaceous earth (spelling?) you put it down on the carpet, it is safe for pets, it will cause the fleas to become anemic and they will die off.. it is availble at gardening centers. you leave it on carpets for a week, and then vacuum off.
good luck!
good luck!

flea lavae and eggs can live for years in your carpet and soft furnishings. The bombs are ok but can often just treat the surface. id recomend a decent quality spray that keeps on working after traetment and give every thing a good going over, theres plenty out there. Dont scrimp on the cost of these get a good on as it will work better than buying loads of cheap ones.

The safest and cheapest method of getting rid of fleas is to use a mixture of boric acid and salt. The powder should be sprayed on carpets, bedding and areas frequented by your cat.
