Start with the basics. How tall and how much do you weigh. Then look at your lifestyle; how active are you. That will give you a baseline on how many calories a day your body burns. What do you typically eat? Take a look at the food you put into your body. Do you drink water or do you drink soda, juices, tea etc? You are craving carbs that don't do anything good for you!! I bet if you change the way you eat and start drinking water you can help yourself. You can still have a treat from time to time. That does not mean that you can eat 2 lbs of chocolate!!! A small amount! And lastly...how bad do you want to lose weight? Set a goal!!

Are you sure you are not a diabetic? That is one of the symptoms, the craving, or maybe you are a compulsive eater. Any way if I were you I would have my blood glucose checked. Normal at fasting is: 60 - 120.

I found out this past August that I am type 2 diabetic. I was like you, I could not pass up all those goodies. I had that diabetic crave. I have been in love with sweets since I was a child.

Since I found out I was a diabetic, my dietitian made a diet especially for me and my husband ( who is also a diabetic ).
She put us on a lowfat, low carbohydrate diet. It is wonderful! My husband gets 5 carbs. at a meal and I get 4 carbs at a meal. It is a very filling diet. I don't get hungry. We also get a limited amount of snacks, which keeps us from feeling deprived. My husband has lost about 65lbs. and I have lost about 28lbs in 10 months!

I guess my point to you is that you don't have to deprive yourself to lose weight. I never thought this was possible without skimping, but it is true.

I think the best thing for you to do first is to get rid of all the chocolate and anything in your house that is indulging, and don't buy anymore. You can't eat it,if it is not within your reach. Also stay away from places that causes you to be tempted. Replace it with healthy foods, such as low fat meats, salads, fruit, 1% sweet milk or low fat buttermilk, 1/2 cup of starchy vegetable at a meal such as whole kernal corn, and whole grains, such as 100% whole wheat bread and oatmeal for breakfast. These things are packed with fiber, which makes you feel full longer.

The main thing about staying on a diet is: do not get discouraged. I lost my weight slower than my husband. There were time that I didn't lose anything for weeks, but I just stuck with the diet and sure enough I started losing again. This is normal with any diet you try. If you fall off your diet and eat the wrong thing, don't give up! Just go right back on your diet. One little slip up don't mean that all the work you did is in vain. We are all human and we sometimes fail, but that does not mean that we have to live constantly in failer. We just go back where we failed and start again!

Another thing, don't judge yourself by the models at victoria's secret or any other model. Every person is different. We all have different body types. Some have big boobs, big butts, or big stomach, or some even looks like they starve themselves, which is not healthy for anyone. You really need to learn to love yourself and accept yourself, even if you might be a little overweight. Who knows what those victoria secret models do to keep their skinny, razor thin bodies.

I wish you the best of luck with your diet. I hope something I said will help you.

Have a blessed day.

Just a thought...is there something buried deep down from your past that has manifested itself in your obsession with dieting? Someone who you are trying to please, earn their love, beat at their own game, or prove wrong? It seems that you are driven by some perception that you are trying to attain that is not really YOU. If you take a deep breath and really look at who you are and who YOU want to be and compare that image with what you have experienced in your life, you may just discover being as skinny as a super model may only be a way of keep your mind off what really needs to be resolved. By the way...chocolate and indulgent food items are comfort foods, the chemical composition of chocolate triggers a hormone release in the body which makes people feel loved.

Like I said....just a thought.

You did not mention what type of diet you were on. I suspect that your weigh lose desire is more due to vanity than health.
Your body regulates to what ever weigh it is at because of everything that you a have ever put in it. Look at your excesses and deficiencies regarding nutrition. Are you getting balanced carbs? Do the fats you consume have balanced amounts of omega 3 and omega 6 (essential fatty acids). Where do you get most of your proteins from? Carbs, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water are essential for proper nutrition. It might help you to think of carbs, fats, and proteins as fuel and vitamins, minerals and water as the spark plugs. If any essential elements are missing your body does not run properly.
If you get to much of something your body has to deal with the excess. One of the easiest ways to better health and optimal weight is by consuming better nutrients. That is all about choice. Presented with a choice between a sugary carbonated beverage (coke, pepsi, a.k.a. liquid candy) or an apple, which is a better nutritional choice?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You have to have proper levels of the ESSENTIALS for good health, then you can add the PROACTIVE nutrients (super foods) for excellent health and abundant energy. Health is not an accident.
Good Health = Good Nutrition + Good Exercise

spam the emails, don't look at the model's , even at your ideal weight you would probaly need surgery to look like them (i know i would.) dieting is like when someone says "don't think about polar bears" before you hardly ever did now that you are told you can't that's all you can think about. learn to eat healthy and balanced and exercise when you can. keep your mind occupied with worthwhile things and learn to like who you really are not just the skin you are in.

Just know that you are not alone in your pursuit of weightloss. Promises are always being made on a full stomach of doing better. Only to forget that and everything else when you are hungry again...

Who can say "no thank you" to chocolate? Heck, who would say it? Certainly not me! I would never give up chocolate not even for one of these bodies:

This is called "Yoyo dieting" this means When we're bombarded with images of gorgeous celebrities who seem to lose weight in the time it takes us to eat a Danish pastry, it's no wonder we're often tempted to cut our already low calorie intakes in an effort to shift an extra pound or two each week.

But surprisingly, rather than helping us to reach our target weight more quickly, severely restricting calories actually prevents our bodies from burning unwanted fat stores effectively - and unfortunately, this means that weight loss slows down.

There are 3 tips to stop Yo Yo Dieting:

1) Develop Your Ability to Focus on dieting
2) Control your emotions
3) Stop Fearing Food, eat that cake!! Just eat smaller proportions!

I hope you read all of this :)
